Hi guys. I hate to make this my first post but we need to get this info around as fast as possible.
If you or anyone you know is registered in the medical marihuana program in Canada, and you/they grow their own by choice, you are about to be shut down.
There is no system in Canada that will provide pharmacare for patients using marijuana. Under the new proposed system you will have to purchase your product from a corporate grower via registered mail at their retail price. Many people (in contrast to Health Canada's claims) have larger than average prescriptions for MJ and the only viable way of acquiring this amount in an economical fashion is to produce it themselves, with low production costs. We are talking about hundreds of dollars a day in possible new medication bills for many of the 10,000 people registered in the program.
None of Health Canada's news release addresses this obvious situation. There HAS to be an option left for people to produce for themselves, or for the government to subsidize the patients who cannot afford these new retail prices. Not to mention compensate these people for the money they have spent setting up their own gardens under the current system.
Please, if you have any concerns about these pending changes, contact Health Canada and let them know these new program adjustments are unacceptable and will potentially wreck the wellness and health of the people they are trying to accommodate in the first place.
Contact info (they are actively seeking input):

I am adding a poster I made to be passed out at grow shops and med dispenseries. Please pass this around to anybody you think might be effected by these new regulations. Full Size (http://i.imgur.com/prNpm.png)
