First off, I don't understand the appeal behind ordering autoflower seeds. you could run 12 12 from seed with a normal plant, save electricity and get a similar yeild to an auto on 20/4..
but anyway, here's a question that's been bugging me for a while..
If an auto flower doesn't "auto" how do you deal with the plant? Is its biological clock going to kick it into flower at some time only known to itself at some point down the road? or is it just a normal plant if it misses its mark? one that you could keep as a mother and take clones from and continue to propagate along with the rest of your genetic stock..
I've heard a lot of stories about folks who end up with bunk seeds that don't kick when they're supposed to.. and just wondered what the game plan is at that point.
If it were me, I would rather keep it as a mother if that is an option.. Throwing it into 12 12 would probably make it flower, as it would with most plants..
Whats the typical realistic life cycle of an autoflower anyway? There are the claims on the seed sites of 6-8 weeks total.. but we all know those can be a little misleading..
