i love football its the american sport...football separates the men from the boys...and today at football practice i broke my hand

i play strong side defensive end....

a cool breeze blew across the field as i lowerd myself into my right handed stance against the 6 foot 4 275 pound offensive tackle...BLUE INDIANA COLTS INDIE HUT the ball is snapped, right away my football instincts drive me insane like a dog in a sausage factory...i see the tackle down block so i squeeze the hole to avoid cutback, i look for a pulling backside guard...none...counter is ruled out...look for a fullback...none...lead is ruled out...its a naked bootleg, i begin to sprint towards the quarterback as the slot reciever attempts to chop block me, i slam him to the ground without hesitation and continue to persue the quarterback...the ball is thrown while i am in inches of the quarterback, its thrown to a reciever with the strong saftey and cornerback broken down waiting for the kill, but wait...a spin move, a stiff arm, he cuts back towards the middle....then i heard angels and saw a beam of light...anyone who plays football knows..it is a godsend when you have an earshot at a reciever in open field...i flew towards him...layed myself out completley horizontal and with all my strengths send him and myself flying out of bounds into a huddle of slackers who dont play...i got up with such enthusiasm and triumph for my play, only to look down and my mangled hand....broken...

"football separates the men from the boys" - I strongly disagree. I'm beginning to get more and more fed up with the "jock mentality." Some dumbass who can't spell dog is running a ball across some field and making millions of dollars, while important careers such as teaching are hitting rock bottom. I'm sorry, but I no longer support this crap. There are exceptions (not every jock is an idiot and you can like football and still disagree with the jock mentality yet you're still supporting it), but whatever.

I hated pep rallies in high school. In my high school, they cut each class short by like 5 minutes the day of a pep rally so the last hour of the schoolday was devoted to cheering football players who I didnt even know. Did I care if my high school football team won or lost? No. Was I allowed to go home instead of attending the pep rally? No. American rituals, go figure

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Hope you get better soon. By the way, did you complain about the pain enough to get some good painkillers? If not, go back tomorrow. LOL!

Hope you heal up soon enough to play this fall, good luck, and be careful you need hands to roll joints and smoke bongs. Double whammy for you.....OUCH OUCH

p.s. i dont know a single football player who cant spell. your sick of the jock mentality, well your sick of a non existant stareotype, just becuase somone has athletic ability dosent mean they are dumb...maybe you just cant comprehend having athleticism and brains

Yeah, I'm better than you because I wear this stupid jersey and drive a $30,000 truck. Do me and favor and shuttup about how football makes you better.

Take a look in the mirror...I don't pick on people because of their illiteracy, but you referred to me as an asshole for no reason. Take a look at your post koshea, there are over 10 grammatical errors. I don't understand where you get the idea that I'm trying to rebel? As for being athletic and intelligent...I carry a 4.0 GPA and travel across the USA for snowboard competitions, but you're entitled to your own opinion.

Damn, a broken hand? I think you're going to have to sit out this season. Having played nose guard/linebacker, I know that hands are very important tools for these positions. The way you described your hand, it sounds like multiple fractures. Well, at least you have two more seasons. I'm in my last season. It's time to go out with a BANG, and leave everything out on the field. Football truely does seperate the men from the boys. As one of my coaches use to say, 'You either step up, or bitch up.' Lol.

I think the only thing that seperates men from boys is whether or not their testicles have dropped.

Wow...stop stereotyping. I play varsity football and baseball at my highschool and there are those jerk-offs at every school...If you play a sport you are a "jock" and not worth talking to.

I bet you guys that are bad mouthing koshea are the little goth punks that try to draw attention to themselves by dressing like freaks, and by trying to bring down the people who have earned what the have.

Koshea, that really sucks man, I know what you are going through. I havent played a full season of baseball or football because I always seem to have the same nagging calf injury every year. Hey man keep your head up, work twice as hard to get back!

-laaaaaaaaaaaaauuuugggghhhhhhhhhhhsssssssssssssssss-

I'm going to make a movie. To play the part of Koshea, I'll get Keanu Reeves. We'll call it "Football: Men Only".

It'll cover your life as the super star quarter back who gets ALL the hottest chicks. You'll jizz on their faces and slang dope by the pounds.

We'll make millions.

McCauley caulkin disagrees. Though McCauley Caulkin has been known to partake in a little football from time to time, football is just a game, it doesnt make you a man just because you get tackled and tackle others.
McCauley Caulkin believes that real men are made by your ability to stand up to the hardships and "tackles" of the real world, where there are no pads and no timeouts.

I played football until I was a sophmore in High School. I was never great, usually #3 wide reciever. I snapped my arm in half during practice freshman year. It was literally in a Z shape. The radius and ulna had a clean snap and were resting on top of the other half of the bones to give it that appearance. Luckily it was not compound.

As for having football separate the "men from the boys" I think that is BS. Sure, it is a great sport to play and teaches you discipline and gets you in shape, but most of the football players that were first string were cocky assholes.

And as for pep fests, those were the gayest things ever. I am not at all a goth or shit, just a 6'4" 20 year old guy dressed in Abercrombie who loves to smoke weed. I had ZERO school spirit whatsoever, and so did my friends. We did whatever we could to ditch those stupid things. At least it made classes shorter, and then we could just sneak out of school right before it started...

Yeah anyway, you want a real rough n' tumble sport:

PADDLE BATTLES.

Nuff said.

By the way, I don't play football. I love the idea of boxing, though, becaues it's the only sport where the stated agenda is to injure the other guy.

Man i played frisby in the park the other day while high, it was so fun. I was playing with this fat rasta guy who sold me the stuff and some other random guy. I love diving for the frisby :D I recognize this has nothing to do with the topic, yet do i care?
