This is crazy the amount of home invasions because of a little smoke. This just sucks and the people that do it are lower than Pond Scum. I bought a gun and have dogs, the house last night must have had neither. These people deserve to be fertilizer, the worst part is that it has to be someone they know or a friend of a not so good friend! They wouldn't raid if they didn't know it were in bud, I hope they can figure this out and get them.
This kind of press will hurt the cause for sure! If you are going to grow at least get a big dog.

It usually is someone that knows....
The best deterrent, in addition to dog and gun, would be REAL security. A security home system with video surveillance. Put up the home security sign along with a sign that reads "property under video surveillance" and people will either steer clear and go to the house without it or put on a mask and say eff it....but at least you'll have a video of what happened....
If cannabis were readily available like cigarettes, people wouldn't break into someones home to rob something that has to still dry and cure.... They'd go rob the store instead, if they're that type of person....

Looks more and more like someone they knew sent friends. Missed the house and got the neighbor first. Too bad the neighbor didn't have a gun. I agree with the video, I can see my property anywhere I am. With IP cameras you don't even have to record where the cameras are located. My neighbors have more guns than I do.
My Father was armed robbed, they stuck a gun in his face and dry fired it wanting a safe that didn't exist. He was never the same after that, he wished he had had a gun. It is sad the amount of security it made us take, we can even lock someone in.....

Right now its just easy money for these idiots. As the economy continues to decline there is bound to be more of this. Its important for people to have a plan to keep themselves and there family secure. A firearm will be essential as we go along. But be sure to be very comfortable with a firearm and if you're not absolutely sure you can pull the trigger on a fellow human being don't get one. And most importantly, know the laws regarding self defense. In Washington they're pretty easy. If someone threatens you either verbally or with a weapon you have the right to shoot. Don't be shooting them in the back. And don't talk to the police after the event unless you absolutely are in control of your senses and know exactly what to say to the cops. Would be a shame after successfully repelling a thug you end up going to jail for 30 years because you said the wrong thing to a cop.
