East Coast Plants Flowering (June 4).....please help!

Hey guys, so mid March I started my plants from seed indoors. I had them on 20/4 light cycle, using florescents and CFLS. I moved them outside at the end of April/Early May.

My problem: a lot of these plants are doing very well outside, but most are only 20 inches tall and have already showed their sex, and now they are FLOWERING. I have already removed about 40 males during the past two weeks, and yesterday I went to fertilize and the plants are flowering (just like my crop last year about mid/late july.

I am wondering if the change in light (20/4 inside to outside) has fooled the plants into thinking it's time to flower? If this is the case, what can I do? The plants are planted into the earth, and I can't move them now. Will I be OK?

I really appreciate any and every comment/suggestion. If it would be helpful, I would be glad to go take some pictures and post them.

Initially, the jump from 20hrs photoperiod to whatever it is outside where you live probably caused them to flower. With the daylight hours still increasing I dont see how they would go into full bloom tho. They may revert back to veg.. may not. I would actually like it if a few of my plants started flowering early. Its not much you can do now that they are outside so just let them go. If anything youll be harvesting slightly smaller plants by late August/September.

Thanks for the reply man...yeah i checked on them a few days ago and the flowering is def progressing. Seems like the plants that are flowering are putting all their energy into making flowers and not generating new bud sites/branches. I guess their is nothing I can do though so I'm just hoping for the best. I'll keep it posted.

Start some more plants and have two harvests. It's a little late but they will grow to maturity in 6 weeks and should have time to finish before the killing frosts of late October/early November.

Late April is too soon to go outside, mother natures cycle of light change for Cannabis is May 21st through August 21st, anything growing outside before or after has a high probability of going into the flowering mode. If you're plants are only 20" tall and have been planted since late April that seems awfully small to me and my guess is they went into budding shortly after you planted them which is why they are so small. It takes a LONG time for a plant to pull itself out of flowering and back to vegging before you notice any significant growth. IF you had a lot of overcast or rainy weather that could cause them to trigger as well.

would never grow with seads. get to a medical pot state and get a clone ,buy a daisy cloner at a light store and rooting gel and you can take cuttings and in 10 days you have 8 clones ,do it again thats 16 and so forth. keep under lights till about a foot tall and transplant outside.....they are all female and all the same as the first clone. daisy clonner is about 60 dollars.....do this and you will never go back to seeds.

Nuttin wrong with doin it the old fashioned way. Some seeds and some sunlight do just fine for me, but to each his own.

I've found seeds to grow much faster.
