Yeah and 2+ years since Bush et al sent detainees there to be tortured. The "rehabilitation" of Assad / Syria started under the GOP presidency of Bush II. There is plenty of blame to go around. A little honesty will help establish a little credibility... or perhaps you just weren't aware of the history.
