from my understanding, its impossible to go fully organic and grow hydropnically at the same time. Organic gardening relies on the decomposition of organic matter over time, with the help or beneficial bacteria and fungus. In organics, nutrients are made availabe over time, where as hydroponic nutrients need to be available immediatly. There are quite a few companies that sell "organic" hydropnic nutrients, but the concept of Organics just doesnt truely apply to a sterile hydroponic garden
While compost teas are awesome, they cant be used as a the plants only source of nutrition. They dont contain a complete diet for plants, just certain things. Hydroponic nutrients contain everything the plant needs for life.

Thanks for the imput. From what ,I've heard people have used it in hydro with good success. The thing ,I would like to find out is how!
There are different teas you can make besides compost tea.I'am looking for the more natural stuff.Someone that has incorperated
this into there grow or would be willing to try this out and make a logbook of this would be great info for all.Besides, I think with the way
things are going now with the world people don't have alot of money to buy nutes. Why spend money when you don't have to..
The word ,I thinking of is "FRUGEL". Forgive my spelling.

i dont know if you would be able to do it on compost tea alone. You might need to add other sorts of organic things in to make sure the plant gets everything it needs. Fish emulsion, bat gauno, worm tea, things like that.

or you can just buy some organic hydro nutrients like pura vida or humbolt nutrients. they claim to be organic and are designed for hydroponics.

yes you have to add a few things to it for the plants for it to work.money is kind of tight for me so why buy when you have a large compost pile.

Don't use anything from the pile for a hydro grow. The organic ferts are a much better idea as they are made for hydro. I've never used compost waste but I don't know if putting in a chunk of compost in a hydro bucket will work. I doubt it. If you short on money then I'd avoid organic hydro fert altogether and get a bottle of Dynagrow 7-9-5. It has all pretty much all the nutes you'll need. It's a chemical fert but it has the best chance for giving you success. That's what you really need to consider - what will give the success you're looking for without spending too much. Otherwise, Botanicare is a good organic brand but you might end up spending more money than you'd like.

Look into Earth Juice products. The are 100% organic and resonably priced.
As far as having the nutrients readily available, I brew my solution/Tea for 48 hrs prior to adding to the rez.
100% Organic Hydro Grow can be done. Beware there is more labor involved.

what nutes are you using from ej? are you able to keep them stable in the rez? I'm planning on running an organic hydro setup, and cant keep the EJ stable.
Or are you using there other products not the classic?

I use Earth Juice Grow, Bloom, Microblast, and Catalyst.
I brew my nute solution for 48hrs then strain it atleast twice through a fine mesh screen.
After 48 hrs the nute solution will climb dramatically, so you will have to ph it down.
Because you are using organic nutes they will continue to breakdown and raise your overall ph levels, so constant ph adjustment is needed in the beginning.
After 5-7 days the ph gets as close as its gonna get to leveling off. With organic nutes you still be checking your ph daily.
If you decide to go organic get a digital ph tester. Trust me
The extra effort is well worth it.
thanks, going to look into this.

I put a few cups of manure, worm composting, seaweed extract, molasses, fish oil pills, 2 scoops of MG in a 5 gallon bucket then use a fish pump to "brew" it for about a day. The guy at the organic shop gave me two different types of organic mix to try because he wants to get me away from miracle grow! LOL That was a very beneficial visit cause I spent $25 on mite spray and told him I was just looking for something for flowering that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. This stuff goes for like $20 per bottle.
