I dont have a local hydroponics store. So, can anyone tell me if lowes hardware, walmart, or any other national retail store sales mylar to cover walls?...peace...

Yes they have mylar sheets. I would think Lowes would, not Walmart.
At The Home Depot, they sell it in their cabinets section.
I didnt use mylar as it likes to chip when sawed, plus, in an enclosed area, I wanted some heat / fire protection, hence the water heater wrap.

2 mil Mylar can be purchased online in 48" rolls. Mylar is also used in package wrapping so stores that sell wrapping paper will also sell Mylar in rolls.
Just another place to look

Just go to your local sporting goods store and ask them to point you in the direction of the emergency blankets. Their about $3 for a 5' x 10'. They work just as well and will save you a bit of money. Peace

Yeah, I just purchased a 50' roll off of ebay today. I might also check out those emergency blanckets that does sound pretty cheap...peace...
