my plants were doing really great until 2 days ago and noticed them turning yellow in some spots. i have done research on charts and posts, but i'm not sure what the problem is. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

I haven't used any fertz or any other chemicals... only water. there are ferts in the potting soil, but the other babies are in peat moss only, and are burnt also.

If the ones in soil are twice as old as the ones in peat moss, I would assume that they are asking for nutes. The ones in peat moss are ready to be put in soil. Go ahead and put them in soil and water. The fresh nutes in the soil should be enough to get the new growth back to a healthy green.

The ones that you have in soil are ready for light nutes or you can transplant to a bigger pot with fresh soil...

I don't think they are burnt. Unless you have them in direct sunlight where a hot spot could be... Not sure. I'm not an experienced outdoor grower so I don't know if young plants can bleach because of too much direct sunlight....
