Does this look right?

Is it just me or do my plants seem to be growing really compact. Do you think it is a light problem?

They have been growing for about 3 weeks once they broke through the soil. any help would be cool.

It's difficult to tell exactly how big they are but at a guess I would say they are a bit small for 3 weeks old.
What type and power light are you using?
Most plants require 14 - 18 hrs of light in the growing phase,how long are yours getting?
What plant food are you using?

hey dude whats up? well first i would have to say ur plants look pretty streched out ..maybe move your light sorce closer to the plant and maybe burry your stem a bit...its really hard to tell from those pictures if your plant is growing compact..if you can take some new pictures and post them.

Anyone here live in Aus. I would give ur plants 18-24 hours of light and move the light closer. :D

Hi, Cheers for the replys.

I am using a 8 watt sun glo floro light and a 12 watt halogen lamp. They are getting 17 hours of light during the day and an hour durinig it's night cycle.

They are 16 cm in height and have been through the soil for 3 weeks but they are really spinderly and have toppled over as i have taken away their supports. I've got a fan heater on a timer blowing on them to try and make them stronger but do you think it is just the shit lighting that has made them like that.

You definetly need to move them floros closer like 1 to 2 inches away and you need at least 80 watts for floros for a ok harvest. And for the halogen they suck get your self either hps or mh or even more floros you need lots and lots more wattage than 8 watts. Ive found 40 watt sun stick floros pretty good and only 6 american dollars a piece.The more wattage the more bigger and fatter buds the higher you get band dont be scared to put floros close.But change with hps or mh maybe to around 15 to 20 inches away with thse depending watts.Hopefully this will help.Peace and keep on growing. :D

i'll try and get a more powerful bulb as soon as poss. Do you think that i will affect the flowing stage much, considering it is still in the veg stage?

get rid of ur halogen bulb completely. your plants ahve to get reall close to it and once they r close enough to get any bennefit from it it will cook them. try repotting and burrying ur stems a little, moving the floros closer and get more floros or lights(just not halogens or regular bulbs, floros or hid's). even if ur nodes do seem close2gether dont complain its probably an indica strain ur growing. some peopele including me try to keep their plants short

what up,
well first off u meight need more light, i dont know if halogen is incondescent but if it is it wont do shit fer ur plants, also floros dont giv off much heat if any so they can be pretty close to ur plants w/o burning them. and u said u put them under light fer an hour during dark period i think and ive always been told that interupting the dark period is bad but im not 100% sure on that. anyway good luck and hope u get some bomby weed.
