quick seedling question.

first time grower in the southern cali. i germinated the seed on the april 9 and it sprouted 2 days later. i had the seedling in shitty backyard soil before so i transplanted into the a 3 gallon pot of miracle grow moisture control potting soil. i believe i damaged the seedling because 1 of the cotyledon turned dark brown and died. my question is will it grow well with only one.? thanks s274817

time will tell. just dont overwater. use a mister and soak that way. also keep it humid until you have a couple of sets.
