how do moderators get chosen?
does a moderator get a certain time to be a moderator?
and what do you gus do as moderators? apart from moderating the boards...
anything else you would like to add please add

mods are usually just "friends" of the owners.

their job is to check in and read threads,
they move threads, delete them, or edit them.
and they tattle to the owner if someone needs to be banned.

if a board is moderated well, the mods may send out PM's to warn people if they are being illegal or breaking rules.

Yea I was wondering a lot about that too...how much time is invested each day in "moderating?" Is this a full-time job, or do you just do it out of the goodness of your heart?

moderators are like the police ... they enforce the rules, they wear blue uniforms, and if you break the rules then they take a club and beat your head in until other mods rush over to join in and break your legs, and your arms, then they handcuff you and take your weed.

Maybe not the part about the clubbing or taking your weed. I don't know. I'm not sure what a moderator does. I heard somewhere that they were online prostitutes.

:eek: Well NO we are not prosituites, and we do not wear blue uniforms either. The administrator selects the people he feels are good for moderating his site. We do not PM him in regards to banning people, this is something that we have to make judgement calls on and do ourselves. We are here to make sure that things run smoothly and there is no harrassment or racical comments put in either the boards or chat..... :confused:
