as one of the top dogs within a party that has just suffered a humiliating defeat at the polls and whose nominal leader has been in constant campaign mode since his election, such a sentiment is exactly what we could expect. it's both the deception and the hypocrisy that have become hallmarks of a group whose only standard is cliched populist dogma. without its super-majority and already having decimated the nation, the democrats are essentially suing for peace and downplaying the public's dissatisfaction with their agenda. of course elections aren't important when you lose. of course we should stay the disastrous course they set during their years of congressional dominance, no matter what the people may want or the current crop of political animals may decide. the real message she is putting out there is that what happens next isn't her party's fault, regardless of the fact that her party's policies have already played a major part in both causing and prolonging the nation's woes.

with the liberal establishment and their lapdogs in the media having spent years convincing the public that the constitution is filled with radical and dangerous concepts and that anyone who espouses the idea of following those concepts is mentally deficient or an enemy of the people, there's little doubt that this message will play well with the unwashed masses. all those envious little bitches and mindless do-gooders will practically be foaming at the mouth to condemn anyone with the audacity to attempt to undo the damage that has been done under the great savior's watch. in their near religious fervor, they'll be ranting about the reactionary, unfeeling bastards that are only trying to enrich their cronies at the expense of the poor. they'll claim that those evil war mongers are encroaching on a wide variety of the people's rights, rights invented solely to further the very agenda that the people themselves so recently sought to distance themselves from.

in the end, these tactics will probably work to a certain extent. the electorate, with its notoriously short memory, will tire of the pains of recovery and once again embrace the short term band-aids offered by pelosi and her ilk. the false compassion of liberal rhetoric will probably send the great savior back to the white house in the next election cycle, though hopefully not with his full accompaniment of congressional stalinists. you see, we never learn and that's what these authoritarian bureaucrats count on. we want our freedoms and our comforts and our scapegoats and we want them all right now. they've spent decades and countless millions convincing us that no one is responsible for their own failures and that we all deserve our heart's desire. this is the sickness that our unresponsive representatives feed on and the fatal flaw that will probably be our downfall.

Nope, we have been through waaaaaaay tougher times and the republic held fast juuuust fine.times change and so do the prospects for a viable republic. we have watched as the term "justice" has become a code word for social "readjustment" and the mechanisms for the creation of our way of life have been vilified. we have been so efficient at raising our standard of living that we've begun to believe our own press and the entitlement machine has gone into overdrive, sending us reeling into that place where everyone deserves it all. no one recalls the admonitions of the dangers of democracy and we're following mob mentality into the abyss. if this republic survives another hundred years and follows the same course, it will be unidentifiable as the dream of its founders.

Our Republic is nearly dead as far as I see it.We have not had a constitutional republic in our lifetime. Most americans don't understand what one is or how to live in one.Most have no idea what personal resposability truly is and think the government owes them a living.

Our economic system is down the toilet, yet most don't see it or refuse to believe.We are about to become a third world country and those who are not prepaired will end up starving , starving in FEMA camps or shot dead steeling from those who are prepaired.
