I get random tests at my job, no warning or anything. A collector comes from Quest Diagnostics and tapes the water off and dyes toilet. I have quick fix 5.7. As a test i put it in my groin area ( no warmers or pre heated microwave ) about an hour later it was readin between 90-100 ( 94ish to be exact ) do you think this will be fine? Even when pouring it to another cup? I dont know how the degrees will drop...Please help. I have read a lot of useful info on here from the users and you guys seem great.

Thanks!

The collector will accept the sample between 90-100 degrees, but to avoid suspicion 95-98 would be better. After you pour the sample into the cup, check the temperature. If its too hot, lightly blow on the sample until the temperature drops. If the sample is to cold, briskly rub you thumb on your jeans or pants for a couple seconds and then hold it to the temp strip on the cup until it reaches the desired temperature.

Shoot for a bottle temp of 100F because a temperature drop will be experienced when you transfer from bottle to empty sample cup. How much of a temp drop depends on how cold the empty sample cup is. When you recieve the sample cup from the collector, feel and note how cold it is to the touch. Often, I "prewarm" the empty sample cup by tucking it under my armpit as I close the bathroom door, unzipping, etc.

Once you fill the sample cup, prevent further temp drops by not setting the cup on any cold surface. Often, I have to fabricate a makeshift "coaster" by grabbing several sheets of toilet paper to set the sample cup on when Im zipping up, etc.

I don't think my body can get it to 100 degrees..I used a digital thermometer at 1 point and it said 97 degrees which I thought was wrong since I don't think my body can provide that much heat. I would like to add it would be in my groin area for at least 2-3 hrs since I travel to work and the rest of staff arrive later then I do..is it possible the longer I have it there, it can actually reach that high?? Thanks for the fast response guys. I really appreciate your help.

I don't think my body can get it to 100 degrees.. Then thats where the QF's heat pad comes into play.

but that doesnt that need air? there are a ton of cameras on site, and i dont want to act so suspicious by using the heat warmer. i was just wondering if my body would be good alone? that would make my life a hell of a lo easier...

thanks for the replies man, im really nervous =(

thanks for the response Deige. I read your links that were atatched and found it quite helpful. I work in office type enviornment and am sitting down and standing up all day. You would think if I put the bottle in my groin area to get it to that 94ish temp, including the parts of my day when I am siting with my legs tight, since it feels more comfortable. that what i did on the test run. when i was in the chair i made sure my QF was kind of tight, thats actually when the digital therm read 97. can that be correct? if so my QF would work at that temp right? if i warmd the bottle lie toast says too?

thanks guys!

but that doesnt that need air? All you have to do is remove the heat pack from its wrapper, shake it a bit, then attatch it to the bottle. Allow about 1 hour for the heat pack to warm the QF bottle to 100F.

there are a ton of cameras on site, and i dont want to act so suspicious by using the heat warmer. There will not be a camera inside the bathroom. Cameras placed inside any bathroom constitutes ''voyuerism" which is against the law, resulting not only in criminal charges being filed, but the donor is entitled to civil damages as well.

Activate and attatch the heat pack inside the bathroom. Then walk out and say you are unable to pee at this time (not everyone can pee upon command). The collector is then required to follow "shy bladder" procedures - by having you sit down and drink water for up to 3 hours or until youre able to urinate, whichever comes first. Take advantage of this time window to allow the heat pack to heat the bottle to temp.

thanks toast. on a seperate note do you know the urine luck additive? (weather or not it works ) they said the new version 7.1 is completely undetectable.

Drop-in additives will not work if its an instant-type test because it takes 90 min to destroy the drug metabolites in the urine sample.

Despite what the sales pitches boast, labs are detecting additives and had been doing so for quite some time. They are detected when the sample gets flagged for excessive nitrites, high chromates, and/or an abnormal pH.

Youre better off sticking with subbing.

thanks. if possible id like to deal with out the hand warmers all together. would my body do it if the QF is there for 2-3hrs before test because it wont be first thing. I also would be squeezing my legs as Diege suggested at multiple times in the day.

thanks for fast response.

The key to a successful sub is PRACTICE.

i practiced 2 times and got around the 94ish area. used digital thermometer the 1 time and got 97. =p i think ill stick with that and then warm the sample cup like your saying. that was a clever idea for you to think of that.
