I dunno hows this happened. I dont see any sacs on the buds they dont look hermie.
Could it have been from pollen from a previous grow in the grow tent?
I cut a little bud tonight to test the smokeI ground it up and took a look with my 30x to find little bitty i mean tiny seed looking things..These things are tiny and im at 15 freakin weeks how many weeks do seeds take to fully develop? This is such a huge let down with such a sativa dominent strain...im losing it and now my little stoner heart is broken.

I don't know the source of the little white seeds like that, my blueberry will get em too at only 9 weeks..... no hermi.

my theory tho is that the flower calyx simply dries out and shrivels down to it, (the flowers are basically just unfertilized seeds in a husk anyway right? )

I'm more than likely wrong, and anyone with another explanation is more than welcome to edumacate me! :i feel stupid:

What I really mean to say is shes 15 weeks flowering but shes 23 weeks old. I have come to grips that she will probably end up seeded.
My real question is these seeds are tiny! so it makes me think she has a long way to go and im 6 months in. she is super silver haze but she must be almost 100 percent sativa pheno.
the buds are hugee but the leaf to calax ratio is weak and they are fox tailing like a bitch. like i said they are huge one cola is bigger than a 20 ouce coke bottle. they just have filled out. can anyone help me?

So how was the test bud? You're so far into it at this point that I'm of the opinion that you just roll with it. 15 weeks into flower, you should be nearly ready to harvest on SSH. I recently had a Super Lemon Haze that was pollinated by a genetic hermi Amnesia Haze and got more mature seeds than the law allows. Regardless, it's still great smoke, just takes a bit longer to prepare..

I wouldn't worry so much about the seeds maturing, but how the bud looks and is it ready to chop. Got any pics?

Thanks, The smoke was good it tasted like fresh cut grass would taste tho since it was quick dry. My babys wake up in 5 hours so ill try to get some pics up around then. Farmer Rich how long did that super lemon haze take? also you got anything goin on in the grow room now?

Hey Lefthanded,

I imagine it tasted pretty green.. As far as the Super Lemon Haze, I'm maintaining cuts from 2 seed plants with both being similar except 1 is a bit more vigorous than the other. Both seem to take about 10 weeks and get fairly gnarly looking at the end due to a 2 week flush. They also stretch like a big dog. Since I don't LST or anything, I flip them when they're around 2 ft. from the medium to the top of the plant because they more than triple in height during the stretch, finishing about 6'. Petty much like Christmas Tree.. The cuts also grow fast and once rooted and planted can be ready to flip in 3 weeks, even under my T-5's in the veg room. Check out any of the Greenhouse seed videos and you'll see how Arjan's sativas look.

I have 1 SLH in week 9 that I'll chop next weekend. Just flipped 2 more SLH last weekend and I'm also currently growing Vanilla Kush and have a couple of those in there as well. I generally use the small tree method on what I do and I'm down to 4 or 5 plants concurrently in flower due to their size. Since they get rotated in when one comes down, I get to harvest something each month. In the queue for a month or two down the line is Critical+ and the offspring of my hermi Amnesia Haze and SLH. Waiting for new beans now for Barney's G13xHaze & Tangerine Dream, and NL#5xHaze from Sensi. I guess I like my sativas hybrids..

Here's a few pics..

Thats a nice set up buddy. Those buds look great are you completely organic?
Here are a few shots of my girls at 15 weeks as you can see most of the pistols are still around 80 percent white, but the tris are long with bulbous heads but they are all clear. Looking at these pictures how long would you say I have?
sorry about the poor quality but you can see how fox taily they are. Shit looks hazy.
Thanks in advance.

also they are in 6 and a half gallons of organic sil a piece. Under 200w cfl and a 150w HPS. Temps around 70-85. and since im at 15 weeks ive only been giving them water the last 2 weeks to flush. Figured alittle info would help. why such slow bud growth?

To me, it looks like it could be a bit warm in the space.. Also, these look like a longer variety sativa and that they could go a ways longer. 15 weeks 12 x 12 on your lighting? Have you looked at the trichomes to see how they're maturing? I run my lights on for 11:45 to compensate for any difference in the timers. You could try taking your lighting time down to say 11.5 hours on, which may speed up the finish a bit...

yea actually they been on 12 12 for around 18 weeks but didnt flower for the first 3. I have a 30x microscope the trichomes are looking long with bubble heads but they are clear. I was thinking they have a long ways to go too but shorting the darkness sounds like a great idea. make em think they are running outta time I like that thanks. Do you think i should start feeding them again or keep flushing? These things could end up taking 20 weeks couldnt they? :/ pure sativas are a tough grow...

I'd try something light for a week and see how they react. If you test your nutes with a meter, I'd go for 500-600 ppm. If you're guessing, try 1/4 to 1/3 of manufacturers recommendation. Give them pH'd water after a couple of feedings with the lighter solution. How about pH? I like it around 5.9 - 6.1 for a primarily sativa strain. Did you start these girls from seed?

BTW - when I always start counting from the day they go to 12/12, not when flowers begin to appear. The SLH bud above was in week 8, somewhere around 54 days or so, the VK was at 61 days. I also have a bit more light than you do, probably a factor for you as well. Not sure how large your space is, but if you could manage a single 600 watt HPS down the road you'd have much better results in terms of the density of your flowers.

I've never done a pure sativa, and you're right, they are said to be challenging. I understand the major issue to watch for is salt buildup resulting from the long flowering periods. Since you've been flushing, you should be good. Check out Washougal Wonders thread on the Thai he's growing, you might pick up a pointer or two there as well.

Yea they are from seed, they are 24 weeks old. I guess I will feed them once or twice more before starting flushing again. Hopefully with some more food and taking the dark period down a bit they will bulk up. I will try to post some more pictures along the way and would def like some input on how you think they are coming along. One more question when the calax swell right before ripeness is this over a period of time or over a shot period? thanks alot.

Hey Lefthanded,

I'll definitely be interested in seeing how you do.

I find the calyx swelling occurs during the last couple of weeks.. That SLH pictured above is starting week 10 and I'll try and grab a couple of pics to show you.
