So, I just took a pre-employment screening for my new job. It's non-DOT, non government so it shouldn't be too stringent, but I felt the need to post here for peace of mind. I had wanted to post *before* taking the test, but due to my schedule over the past few days, that didn't work out. Anyway, here is my situation:
Time last smoked: Wednesday, March 30th
Test date: Today, April 5th
Amount: Literally, it was 2 rips off a pipe and a resin hit which I got nothing out of.
Smoking habits: Rarely. The last time I would have smoked anything would have been about 6+ months ago prior to this occasion.
Body-type/diet: male, 145 lbs. give or take, very lean with high metabolism. Up until these past few weeks I would hit the gym for weight-training/cardio 3 times a week on a regular basis. I'm a very healthy eater all things considered and I drink lots of water and take vitamins daily.
The story: Having been frustrated at a lack of finding work, I decided to indulge in a little relaxation when offered by a buddy of mine. Of course, two days later(that Friday) I would get a job offer from a company I had applied to 6 weeks ago. In need of work, I readily accepted, which meant that I had to get drug-tested. I rarely smoke to begin with and definitely would not have smoked if I had known this was coming, but it was out of the blue.
So, armed with that info, what does anyone think my odds of passing are? I have, since I found out on Friday, purchased 5 take-home drug tests. 4 of them were First Check (Wal-mart and CVS) and 1 was Quickscreen (Walgreens). I took 3 of the tests in the morning with my first piss on 3 separate days, including today before going for my real test. The other tests were taken before bed. I would have varied up the brands more, but these things were in short supply, surprisingly, so I took what I could get while driving around to different stores.
Every single test I took came up negative, with the "THC line" being the most bold and well-defined on the one I took this morning before the real one.
I have heard from multiple sources (not just on here, but real-life friends as well) that these OTC tests are legit and accurate, but I'm still nervous. I know that the test is over and done with, so it's in Fate's hands now, but I was just wondering what some people on here thought about my odds.
Thank you all so much for the information available on here as it has been invaluable over these past few days.
