first day first problem

started to set my tent up today for my grow, when i turned the power on to my 400w light 30 seconds went by before the light came on it then switched off and kept switching on and off roughly every 30 seconds after that, im wondering wat the problem would be whether its the adapter or a loose wire somewhere, any one else have this problem or any one have any ideas wat could be wrong? thanks

im using a hps bulb

i would say tht its the ballast.cos loose wire wouldnt have timeline when the power goes on and off.
or allso it might be faulty timer but it should blow the fuse..what set up ya have ?

im using a tent, i have everything bought light yesterday first thing i done was check the light before i done anything, ballast is brand new an all ill have to test the ballast tomoro

BUT is your ballast supporting your light?

ye its is just the light wont stay on keeps goin on an off fucken heartbreaking me mates a sparks but i wont see him till saturday

fck sry mate but i really dont know then..if ya shake the bulb a bit and ya hear somthng moving then its deffently a bulb..BUT faulty bulb usually stays on,but its just not giving the full light=S

iv a question for ya?isnt in hard da grow grass in finglas..places are getting ripped opwn by da gards non stop?and now oll da new scanning youx.

i dont know whether i believe half the shit about all these new scanners, i mean my grow tent is only a metre squared, surely there only looking for the big operations

not my area but its called a misfiring, bulb isnt an issue, its the socket or the ballast, if your friend finds nothing wrong you'll be heading back to the shop
