My ladies are telling me something and I think I know what it is. Not really a prob yet. Just want to throw this out there to get other minds involved...... On day 24 of bloom..
For now, trouble shooting form, then question of prob:
What is your experience level? (first timer, novice, experienced...) I grew indoors for 3 years, stopped for 3 years and just started again. Have had at least 12 successful grows.
Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's) 1k HPS
.2) Distance from tops? 4 feet
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...) enclosed air cooled
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? yes. exhaust intake on during light cycle.
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? yes, both
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? 1k watts on 12/12. I know I need a new bulb for sure...Currently using a EYE hortilux that has been used before...
Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...) Happy Frog with added perlite
.8) Size of container. 2.7L
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? used a bubbler to root clones
Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? Bottled, 7.5 or higher
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) Sun Leaves brand ph vile with dropper (ordering a ph pen on Friday)
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...) ph up and ph down
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. Using Bio Bizz products. The last feed I gave:
1ml Fish Mix, 1ml Alg a Mic, 3ml Bio Bloom, 2ml Top Max, .75ml Floralicious Bloom, 1ml Liquid Karma, .75ml Cal Mag, 1.5ml B-1. Came out to just over 1200ppm in 40oz of water.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? I've been nute nute watering and I'm now changing that because of this. 20oz each plant
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...) yes, see nute recipe, scroll up.
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? stable
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph? 6.0, 6.0-6.5
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? yes, 1ml of Floralicious Bloom in 18oz of ph'd to 6.5, right before the light comes on. Planning on not after day 28 of bloom
Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors? indoor cab made of OSB and 2x4's
20) What size of closet, room or hut? exterior dimensions are 4'x2'-8"x7'
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? 80.4 degrees F 60% after spraying drops to 20% by last hour of light. 68 degrees F 30% during dark
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? Prevention is the key
Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) hybrid indica dominant GDP x Snow Cap = Purple Cap
24) From seeds or clones? clones
25) Is this an autoflower strain? no
So I noticed that a couple leaf tips are starting to curl under and this is what I think it is - Since I have been nute nute watering, I think that they have reached a point where if I keep this up they will suffer nute burn. Or the soil is not properly draining and or not drying enough at the bottom of the pot. I didn't place any rocks or extra perlite at the bottom to help with drainage, forgot. I let them go about 4 days before watering again. Checking the soil moisture with a moisture probe. Now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't be poking aroung in the soil, this too could be the prob.
So I think it may be due to either too much nute solution in soil, not enough drainage, or probe messing up the roots. I plan on flushing in two days when soil dries out, not completely of course.
What do you think?
