I noticed nobody was responding so I thought I'd attempt to assist. I am not familiar with that unit but I have done a lot of research since I am considering replacing my HPS with a good LED unit. By far, the best results I have seen (replacing a 400w HPS) have come from this little 240w unit.

To see unit, click the "Blackstar" link on webpage you are sent to.

Sorry, I couldn't be more help.

Hello scottleduece,

Save your money and take a pass on those lights.

First, the specs for light spectrum suck.
The most important red is Deep Red, 660nm. Second most is 635nm.
The most important blue is 435nm. Second most is 450nm.
The most important orange is, not important at all.

Second, it is cheap chinese diodes, only 1 watt and of dubious quaility.:(

Hello stjr2k,

I have never heard of the brand Blackstar, but looking at the specs with 2w and 3w american made Cree diodes....they look pretty good.
Keep in mind they will compete with a 400 HPS but will lack the light penertration of the HPS. If you adjust your growing to a little bit shorter plant it should be fine.

Good luck and good growing to both of you.
