Salt or Mold?

I see this white stuff on the edge of the rapid rooter....is it mold or is it just salt build up?

Please help!!!!

Chill, no problem here. Settle down. It is okey dokie, happens all the time to mine, I think it is a salt buildup. Next time get the whole rooter under soil, even get some of the stalk. It only happens when I don't get enough dirt on top.

Yup,I agree. my RR's do it to. Never caused any problems with NY plants, just looks nasty :)
