Something you might want to think about. Harvesting all the larger buds and letting the rest of them get more light for a couple weeks and harvest again then. This way you can get two different highs from the same plant. If you don't have any plants to replace these and have the time, this would actually improve your yield as opposed to harvesting all at once. Something to think about......
Nice plants BTW:thumbsup:

I have very good luck using only water & a little molasses the final 3 weeks of flowering.
Try it on your weakest plant; for comparsion....

Nice job, cheezey!
Is that "Big Buddha" Blue Cheese?
Jus' wonderin'. I chopped one of those yesterday. Running under a 1000, in dirt. Mine ended up runnin' 75 days in flower, she was showing just a hint of a few amber trichs @ chop-time. Also showing just a touch of the blueish coloration throughout, most noticeable in the tops @ leaf edges.
Really lookin' forward to a taste, the aroma is sweet indeed. :)
Great job for a first grow, cheezey!

Very simple.
The week or so before you harvest you flush the nutrients out of the soil so that the plant only takes in water without nutes. This is done so that your final dried buds don't have a harsh taste to them when smoked, etc.
So after you flush your soil and after you have harvested the amount of buds you feel are ready on your first harvest, you then add nutrients back into your watering schedule for the next two weeks and then flush again and harvest, again!!.......
Know what I mean??

ok that all understood sounds pretty much straightforwrd...
now the first part of harvest how do i cut down the plant
do i use a streralised knife and cut the top buds off at an angle of each branch, and if i do this does it not leave wounds or leave a stressed plant.. if its fine do i need to heal it in any way or is it just as simple as chop the top half and then feeed the bottom half again..
im starting my next grow in 4 weeks so i have time to try two harvests

I drew these diagrams for you to give you an idea of where to make your cuts. ( don't give me shit about them, took all of two minutes to draw all three):D
If you are happy with cutting the plants in half, you can. Look at each branch individually and decide if you want to keep the flower on the end or cut and let the smaller flowers closer to the trunk get bigger. As long as you feel good with the ones you removed and left, thats all that really matters...... Oh yeah and after you harvest, get the lights as close as possible. I mean like as close to them without causing heat stress or bleaching. It is really hard to overstress a healthy plant so late in flowering but it is possible......

CanGroIt = Jealous right about now - wish I was a week from harvesting......
Nice!
Only thing I would suggest, if your up to it, is to chop off all the dead fan leaves. This way the light can penetrate further for the next week. They really don't do any good for the plants since they are dried and dead....
Oh and yes your lower popcorn buds should increase in size and density......:pimp:

cangroit ive just finish harvesting 1 of the bunch, im gonna leave the others a couple of days then harvest them as the trichs are almost milky..
any way the 1 i harvest has been on 12-12 for 63 days the others have been on 12-12 59 days.. so wen i harvest plant 1 the soil was 8o% dry, i read lettin it dry b4 harvest then chop they dry quicker
well here are the pics b4 harvest 1

Luuuucky!!! Yeeee freakin haaaaa is right!! You can smoke a bud or two once dried before cured but the taste won't be all there.... Shoot you can smoke one or two now if ya don't want to wait (gotta microwave?) but again, taste won't be there.... For best results, cure then use.
Nice before and after, thanks!
One question, what size pot is that?
CanGroIt::::::
cheezey
03-29-2011, 01:18 AM
the pot is 10litre
sorry i thought i posted pics of harvest
sorry here they lol
i was well stoned wen i updated the thread and excited lol
to be honest the buds are quite dru and rock hard
the total weight not including branch is 104 grm so im happy if i get 25 to 30 grm dried n cured for first harvest...2nd part of plant has more bud on it so i should get more than 1st harvest hopefully,, well anything is a bonus coz i was jus gonna do a simple harvest untill cangroit and and a friend recomended 2 harvest..

Microwave.... Really? That's not very good advice, huh? Would you do that if you thought you could'nt wait?
You are right, that isn't good advice. Which is why I also wrote "For best results, cure then use."
And actually, yes I have done this. When you wait a couple months and you feel an itch, shit, I scratched...... The taste was not good at all but the effects were still there. And I don't mean to throw like 7 grams in the mic. Shoot, when I did the microwave dry, I would only do like .2 of a gram at a time, just enough to hit a bowl once or twice. It kills the quality of the bud but it makes it smokeable. I didn't want to get into details earlier about this terrible way of drying which is why I didn't give full directions on how to go about this. Cheezey has read up on drying and curing properly so I knew if he wanted to try this, he would ask how.
Definitley isn't the best way to go about it but works IF you have no alternative......
BTW GaGrown, I read something you posted earlier and I'm glad I came across it. Totally off topic, I know, but just wanted to give you props for what you posted......really helped me. Thanks!

No apology necessary, I need to use caution with what I throw out there. Thanks to you I noticed that I was over feeding. Good thing I caught it before it became a prob!
