question about 1000w collible hood

is it better too pull or push the air threw it...probably a bad q but im only asking because iv seen a forum about pull vs push on can filters

It will filter better pulling air...30+ years HVAC/R exp. Filter--->duct---> light--->duct--->fan--->duct (if needed)--->exhaust exit

Duct work should be equal or larger than largest flanges.
