Need help with lighting???

This is my very first grow and i want to make it good. My only choice is to grow in the closet and my closet is abot 6X6 and 8 Feet Tall and i cant figure out what kinda light to use, and my options are limited cause i dont have a credit card so i get anything online :mad: . however i do have a few Decent store out here and this is the list: HomeDepot,ACE Hardware and wall mart LOL yes i no its a very small town. so dose anyone know of anything i can get that these stores have. Plezzz Heeeelp.. :(

Sounds to me like your best bet is to go to Home Depot.

Buy some 4' flourescent light kits, two bulbs to a unit.

About 5 of them. That will give you 10 4 foot tubes.

Buy the highest wattage you can.

Your grow room is too big. cut it at least in half. 4X3 is plenty big enough.

Buy an inline fan unit from Home Depot in the ventilation section. You can get a 6" inline fan canister for about $21.00. This is as important as the lights so dont blow it off.

They also sell, over by the water heaters, fiberglass heat reflective foil rolls, about $20.00 per roll. You will need a few of them. Or, go to wall mart and buy a shit load of large white poster paper and tape it to the walls.

The entire area must be white or foiled.

Hang the lights on the sides and on top of the plants.

you can get 150 hps at the home dump. get 2 for about125 bucks. They work great or i am sure you have a lighting stor or electrical supplier in that town. they will sell 250 hps .

Most Home Depots sell the bulbs, but don;t sell the ballasts or sockets for these lights.

this way works well - 6 shoplite ballasted fixtures with 12, 4', 40W, warm flowering plant flouros from home depot,,,look at how nice this 1 plant turned out for me
