This group and album has and always will be in my top five if not higher. It brought a new sound to rock and was instrumental in the formation of Crosby, Still, Nash and Young. The original three's music is right up there too.

So to start if off...Neil Young and Crazy Horse.....:D

Great tunage!

Oh, and by the way, can you do me a favor and log in from cannabis.com and see if the message I sent to you got to your inbox?

Thanks. :smokin: Just making sure whether or not my messages get to the intended receiver(s) or not.

And BWD, the same thing. Sent one to you if you're still around ... hope you are.

edit update: I get the same error. It must be the password, and I never set up an account there, but the user name is still the same. Has some one hijacked my screen name from here to there with a phony e-mail address??? I thought my credentials here would work. :wtf:

I get invalid user name or password using mine here on the forum. I'll try and register on that page and see what happens. BRB. :D

There is a Forgot Password? link there and it would go to your email that you signed up with ... just a thought in case you had reg'd at some point there but have no clue what your pw was. I know I use a different pw to log in there, than I do for the forum.

Dang, was hoping to see the messages go to the people I sent them to. It said it was successfully sent. Then I messaged myself to see if I would get it, and it got there, so it must be functioning.

Sorry for jacking your thread with this. :sorry1:

I was trying to find a way to communicate through can.com with other members that is "private", in other words can't be seen by everyone and that is the way to do it. Just need to see if anyone gets a message from me.

Does anyone else access that area of can.com and use it that are my friends I can send a test message to?

YAY! I got it. Thanks! Sent one back. Glad to know I can "privately" send a message through can.com that are seen only by the intended party without having to go through emailing. Although, a lot of the members here don't seem to know about it or don't use it. It's even better than a PM since it has more functions.

Now, if all the people "fighting" on these threads would learn to send their hate filled words that way instead of posting for everyone and their brother to see, it would be a nicer place pretty quickly.

Not sure what to tell you except you need to remember your pw/email you signed up with back when you started here so they can send you a password reset email with the Forgot Password linkypoo. :stoned: It has to be a case of you had a different pw on can.com than here in the forum.

So far, me and BB have a "cone of silence" going and I wish more of my friends would stop by there and scroll down on the left to see their inbox/compose/sent etc. for messaging here privately. ;)

Hell yeah BB, A friend back in '78 gave me the album (studio) coz he didnt like it. I loved it! As a matter of fact, the music of Mike Oldfield, Emerson Lake & Palmer and Pink Floyd has had a major impact in the music I listen to today. I love space, chillout, and ambient music.
I stream somafm space station soma daily and I use a program that removes the audio from Youtube video's and downloads it in my music file. Free is good, plus Youtube has alot of hard to find music these days that Rhapsody and Napster dont.

I can dig it. I definitely like to listen to that type of music too. Usually, I like to be doing something like drawing or even driving while I listen. I especially like to listen to percussive spacey music like Tangerine Dream.

I'm always on the prod for new music. I discovered these guys on Radio Free World.

If you have some time, check these out. I'd be interested in your opinion. Anyone else's for matter. :D

Michael McClure from OdysseyII

Cousin Fungus from their album Thoughts of a Moth

Corner of My Eye by Cousin Fungus | Song | Free Music, Listen Now (http://www.myspace.com/192963328/music/songs/Corner-of-My-Eye-13753670)

Low Tide High by Cousin Fungus | Song | Free Music, Listen Now (http://www.myspace.com/cousinfungus2/music/songs/Low-Tide-High-13704079)

Youtube is good, but has no Michael McClure at all and only some poorly recorded live songs of Cousin Fungus. That's why I had to post links. Don't worry these links with not take you to a sausage party.

Yeah, I can dig this. Reggae and the movement to it in rhythm requires a double movement at the same time. The slight rhythmic up and down of the knees, and the swaying and moving of the arms.....together.....very hypnotic almost if one really gets into the music. Meditative dance!!!

Bass player eh? (everyone knows it's the bass player that gets the most girls) ;) Who are your instrument related influences?

That clip is ok. I liked the other music your posted better. Maybe it just has to grow on me.

Summercussion is a pretty cool tune. I played it for my wife and she said, "I feel like I should be wearing a pith helmet." :D

LMAO!

One of my early influences were Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath, but I like Stu Hamm from early "Satchiani" days too.
Les Claypool is another.953PkxFNiko

hey, how do y'all post these you tube vids?

Copy the part of the URL right after the = sign. If there's an & symbol at the end, don't copy that part either.

Example:

http: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAWbS1KkNnA&feature=related

Paste it into your post. Highlight it.

Click on the YouTube button.

Do a preview. If you can't see it, you did something wrong.

REAL GENESIS, Phil where he belongs behind the drums! The first min or so is Peter Gabriel (of course) doing some theatrics ala 1973. Kinda cool but the music after is top notch. Unfortunately the recording ain't so great but what can one expect.

Also quite excellent. I have been looking for some of this stuff on youtube for a long ass time. Glad someone finally posted some.
