Well, for better or for worse, the CC changes fast. I don't think I support the proposal. We've all seen boneheaded ballot initiatives, but I'm leery of making the process more difficult. After all, A20 would have failed had these rules had been in force in 2000.

I vote to the side of "bad thing".
I have 0% trust that elected officials will support the true will of the populace. Initiatives provide a voice for the people to push back when leadership fails them.
I suspect that they are pushing for this to prevent 2012 passage of Marijuana legalization that is looming around the corner. We can get 50% , but probably not 60%.

I don't think so. Pot is small potatoes. This initiative is about businesses and trade groups (and, yes, politicians of both parties) not wanting to have to spend tons of money every two years to defeat what are essentially silly ballot initiatives. For example, there was broad agreement that props 61 and 101 were terrible ideas but an expensive campaign still had to be mounted.
We can get 50% , but probably not 60%.
Agreed. I think legalization is going to be a closer vote than A20, which passed with 54%.
