I have just started growing 2 plants in my closet, its around 65°F.
Heres the link to my log that I started today (http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-growing/196077-first-grow-bagseeds.html)

Will my plants grow alright like this, and if so what would be the drawbacks of a lower temp.

What options are there for keeping the room warmer? at least around 68-78°F

thanks

I've had cold growing situations - it's not good for plants, especially very young ones. Get a heating pad and put it on a timer to go off once or twice an hour, or more frequently when your lights are off. (You have to get the kind of timer that has the click down tabs in 15 minute increments) Hang the heating pad vertically (with clothes pins) to keep the foliage and soil surface warm. It really helps. You will have to fiddle with it to get it just right for your situation.

Do not put pad where it will get wet!

Thanks farmermo,

Just realised I was reading the thermometer wrong -.- Disadvantage of smoking weed while growing haha

The actual temp is 70°F, will this still require me to have heatpads?

thanks

Hey BWD, thanks for the info

I'm using a 300w CFL just now, and it doesnt really change the room temps at all. Room temp is always 70°F

So I guess I'l check out a heatpad/s !

thanks guys :hippy:
