No microwave , and no heat warmers... If I am pulled randomly I have around 5 minutes to go to the lab and get tested, unsupervised. I know for a fact the temp isn't checked. But it still needs to feel warm. Tips please. Putting it up against my defrost for 5 minutes may be good?

You don't have many choices given your time limit. The only thing that I can think of would be to dunk it in a hot cup of coffee on the way to the lab.

The defrost will be a little less messy and probably the way to go.

The QF comes with a heat pack.

If you use a defroster, make sure theres no sunlight outside. Exposures to direct sunlight will cause the constituents (pH, Creatinine, Specific Gravity, etc) to dissipate, resulting in a "not consistent with human urine" ruling.

Instead, stick the QF bottle in a glove or something similar (often I use an old pint-sized Crown Royal bag).....OR .... use the heater floor ducts to heat up the QF bottle.

You can also do this: At the clinic, take the empty sample cup into the bathroom. Inside the stall, take the heat pack out of its wrapper, activate, attatch to the back of the bottle and crotch it back up. Walk out of the stall and say you are unable to pee. The collector will have you sit in the lobby and drink water until either youre able to pee, or if 3 hours had lapsed. They cannot force you to pee if you cannot pee. So play the "shy bladder" game and consume water while the heat pack heats up the bottle. The supplied heat pack by itself takes approximately 1 hour to bring the bottle temp to 100F. When the temp is in the range of 96-100F, go ahead and submit the sample.

Once you pour the QF into the sample cup, avoid setting the cup on a cold surface. I often grab several sheets of toilet paper and fab up a makeshift "coaster" to set the cup on as I zip back up, etc.

If we tell them we cant pee, they walk inside the bathroom with us after the hour. So that's a no go.

However the coffee idea is actually pretty good. I work in a kitchen where hot coffee is readily available. So I can fill a cup up on my way to the car, and then stick the quick fix bottle in that cup of coffee. Will that risk ruining the quick fix?

Because when I get to the building, I'm going to have to take the coffee drenched bottle and shove it in my underwear. That won't be pleasant but shit if the quick fix is hot then I'm all good because I will pass with flying colors.

Quick Fix passes every time right?

The collector cannot do this if this test is for employment. Under DHHS regulations, an unobserved/unmonitored collection remains an unobserved/unmonitored collection unless you are suspected of tampering. Collection facilities have regulations to abide by in regards to sample collection and shy bladder situations. Failure to comply with those rules would result in the loss of their certifications to conduct sample collections, which would spell the end for them as a business.

It's for the state of Georgia, they do whatever the fuck they want lmao. Total BS!!! The regulations say they cant. No collection facilities in the state of Georgia (or any state for that matter) are immune to the regs. Donors facing an employment-related test do have rights, including the right to a fair drug test.

You can bet the farm that if I was a completely drug free donor entering that facility with a shy bladder problem and have no intention of tampering, and they pull that kind of crap on me, I would exercise my rights to the fullest, and when the smoke clears, they'll be ending up shutting down. I'll may take it a step further and pursue civil remedy just to add salt to the wound.

The drug testing industry are not gods to be in fear of. Know your rights and dont ever be afraid to assert or exercise them.

I'm just gonna stick the bottle in some really hot water and hope it heats up.
