Hi
I am growing Jack Herer and a little worried that they are gonna out grow my grow tent ! ,. In veg i let them grow to 23 inches (from bottom of pot is 36 inches)... and then turned them to flower , they are now 27 inches and only been in flower for 3 days!, My tent is only 78 inches high,.
Will these plants slow down or will they continue to grow at that rate? I have about 24 inches spare which will leaves me around 12 inches between the light and plant,
Will it out grow?? if so what should i do ???
Cheers Kev

I'm sure its gonna test the size of your growing space! But it will be worth it :)
The seeds are quite expensive so I'l wait till I have more experience growing before I get them.
Currently growing some Blue Cheese wish me luck :)

Hope you dont need to cut it, you prob wont, some stop growing at around 60" from what I read and have seen.
I'm lucky that my grow room (closet) is quite large, 96"/8ft tall - not that I'l need that for my strain haha
And btw, how strong does it smell flowering? do you use a carbon filter or anything?

I grew Jack for about 2 years and I'll tell you this.. It's a strain that has more stretch than Rubber Band Man! Just bend the larger stalks over to the side and let them do what they do.. A little LST goes along way! Esspecially when you have worries of them getting too tall. You'll have some of the best smoke ever!:jointsmile::stoned:
DO NOT CUT THE TOP OUT!

With the high percentage of sativa, they kinda stretched out like a tape measure... For Real! Nodes got closer together.. When the stretch stopped.. Hell... That was almost 3 weeks.. Had to bend them over.. I had the room for 16 at that time. Only holds 10-12 now,but thats cramped.. Less works better for air circulation. Had alot of issues with nute lock out and necrosis,as well as spidermites.. That strain took me to NEW levels.. Shew.... I miss that kinda stress! I called it Pepper Jack? Right?

Great lil' set-up!! Lemme suggest 1 thing.. Gotta ask this first.. Is that a passive intake comin' from the top? If it is then you would get more out of the passive intake as far as having it stay a lil' cooler for longer periods if it were at the bottom..
If the hood has glass, then drop it down some.. It'll help with the stretch. You got a T-stat in the tent, runnin' the fan?
Your gonna have plenty of room to get those gurls finished! Way more height than I was workin' with, when I grew them out.

Thanx mate!! :thumbsup
Yes it is an intake mate , the only reason i have it there is so that the fan blows the cold air at the light to cool it , i did have it at the bottom to start with , but i found it was a little hotter there,. No the hood doesnt have a glass sheild, i will invest in one soon tho ,.
What is a T-stat mate ? lol

I've grown Jack Herer a few times, and it does stretch quite a bit in the first 2-3 weeks of flowering. It actually grew too high in one case and I lopped off the top buds and dried them for early use, leaving the remainder of the plant to finish in it's own time.
The early stuff was a bit harsh, (they didn't get flushed to clear ferts)but did the job, and the plant did just fine with the new top buds. I didn't want the bending, because I'm sort of tight on space all around, so it wouldn't have helped.
