I'm probably not much help but when I live out there in 2001 I used to walk out with 2 or 3 oz's. I liked to stay stocked up. :jointsmile:

It is illegal to "purchase" marijuana from anyone in California including dispensaries. Read the law!

Are you a DEA agent or just an ass? Where do you think it is coming from? It is called medical MJ for a reason. If you go to the pharmacy and pay for non helpful ADDICTIVE prescription pain pills WITH MONEY, what do you think that is? Ill tell ya what it is. Its the government and drug companies bending us over and, well you know the rest of the sentence. I payed close attention to make sure that the shop I go to is "non-profit", but that dosent mean people just go in there and they give you stuff for free.

So in closing... I either get the drift of what you are telling me and I APPRECIATE it, or what you just posted is as useless as big business in america.

If the reason for your post is my misuse of vocabulary then I get what your putting down. Like I said, I appreciate it. "receive" shall be used next time

In answer to your original question the dispensaries in LA that I have visited usually have a one once limit per patient per day. This is to show they are attempting to disgourage re-selling which is of course illegal.

Another thing to consider is the limit in the law of eight onces of dried bud that a patient may have in their possesion. This alone would limit the amount you would want to leave any dispensary with.

BTW, if you are looking to MMJ for pain management I would recommend Indica strains if possible.(more of what some refer to as a "body stone") If you can build a relationship with dispensary personnel you may also ask if they can provide you with meds that have been harvested later than usual. The longer the meds "ripen" before being harvested the more effective they seem to be for pain relief. At least that has been my own experience. There are limits to everything of course but the later harvested meds will be more likely to produce a "couchlock" high.

Hope this post was more helpful to you than my others. Just because I may have been helpful this time does not preclude me from being "an ass" from time to time.:D

Max Blast

Kids in the house that seem to be home whenever im awake and she does know whats up but that isnt really cool to do in my opinion around the kids. Not that I look down on people for being stoned around the kids, (god knows my father always did it) shes too old now though, she likes friggin Hannah Montana. Boring, it was way more fun to smoke and watch Teletubbies. haha Anyways, im just sayin I like to keep it on the downlow as much as possible.

@Max
I have been using as strong of Indicas as possible. Blueberry, GDP, Berry Dream etc. Any kinds you recommend?

To do 1 better, I have a very green thumb when it comes to growing veggies and flowers. Last growing season I came out with 2 lbs of, as far as I know the first cross breed of Strawberrys/cayan peppers. They came out really good too. Pretty spicy but incredibly sweet, great with fried chicken. so I would like to try and grow a clone or possibly start from seed to save me a ton of "donations". Besides I want a challenge. Id like to eventually try a GD Purple/White Widow cross. I would love to see what that looks like. Just one or maybe 2 plants. I have noticed when I go to the shop they have clones up on the shelf but FOR SOME REASON i keep forgetting to ask what they want for them. You have any idea on average what one goes for?

The 2 lbs of peppers came from just 7 plants. I also grew 2 regular marigolds from babies that ended up being 54" and the other was too big for my tape measure in circumfrance , got the pics to prove it.

Not really important I was just proud of em. I looked in guiness world records to see what the biggest ones were out of curiosity and there were none even close. Just have a feeling that I would be good at growing the other even-though they are much more involved.

:D I used to love to watch SpongeBob when my nephews were over. :jointsmile: a lot of the jokes in kids cartoons are no doubt aimed at the grownups watching along, too. :rasta:

Blank, dang son I have never even heard of a stawberry/cayan cross. I have grown both individually and would love to grow what you describe. (I hope you are talking about actaul fruit and not using codespeak)

Most of my experience has been with OG Kush types. Mostly with what used to be known as SFV OG and I grew that from clones only. At one time the OG I was growing was considered by many to be the best there is as far as quality. Samples from the guy I got the clones from were actually part of a High Times Magazine TOP TEN Issue a few years back.

If you are looking at clones in a dispensary you should let them know that you are specifically looking for pain relief meds with very high potency. The road to getting what you need is to ask for it rather than letting them guess. Additionally you will probably need to talk directly with the shop owner/operator rather than the sales clerks in order to reach the most knowledgable person involved. You are looking for something high in THC but also high in the other cannabiniods (spelling?) I think but I am now getting way out of my personnal knowledge area so I will stop now.

Growing from seeds is a terrific experience but clones are your best bet for reliability. In LA appropriate donations for clones seem to run in the $10 to $15 range.

Hope this helps,
Max Blast

@Max

I was talking about real fruit. This year im going to try and alter genetics of something but Im still not sure what. Ive still got plenty of peppers and nothin to do with them. Any ideas? The way the pepper hybrid turned out was like this; The regular peppers I grew from seeds turned out to be about 6-7" long and were,as they should be, hot as hell. The cross, which Id really rather not divulge how it was done, turned out to be about 3" and didnt taste anything like strawberries but were really sweet and maybe a 4/10 on the heat scale.
Like I said, this year without giving away too much of the plan (partially because I wouldnt want somebody to get it right before me and partially cause I dont wanna look like a dumbass if it dosent work) The trick is going to be to extract "DNA" from the plant and either COMPLETELY change the taste of the 2nd plant to taste like the first one... Or my ultimate goal would be to create say a pepper that could be grown with perhaps the flavor of somebodies favorite type of alcohol for people like me that love the taste of a good premium beer or whiskey but dont like to act like an ass while drunk or just to get the flavor of it in the food. HIGH hopes I know, and that is probably a couple of years away at least for the alcohol plant, if it is even possible but its a hobby. Im not happy with the way other people say something is supposed to taste smell or fell... So I change it. :hippy:

I forgot to say that its stuff like this "creativity" with veggies and other stuff that makes me think I could come up with something pretty interesting as far as playing "Dr. Greenthumb". What do you think? I haven't had any botanical training as far as school its just mainly trial and error and it just comes naturally. I'd really have to study up on the other stuff though. I really know close to nothing about its lighting and watering conditions and genetic make-up so it might take a while.

I grew so many peppers this year that I could not even give them away although they were great. Got a lot of excellent Habanero that were so hot no-one could use them. I was able to use the Anahiems in a lot of ways so that was good. My technique for using all the excess hot peppers this year seems like it will be to keep them in baggies in the refer until they rot and I have to throw them out. :D
