OK , my first indoor grow and I used Fox Farms- Big Grow- Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom- given to me by a retired grower- I am needing to purchase nutes and trying to decide which and why- This added- I have health issues and just went thru a flush- what a job for someone who can barely walk- I have read about this Natures Nector OMRI listed and product info says no flush is needed, that would be a great benefit for me- what nutes do you use, how long have you used, have you tried others- I know everone has an opinion on this subject so if you view this thread go ahead and post

The more nutes you give, the more you need to flush. I have gotten by without any flushing using just ocean forest soil and some molasses and no flush........so it can be done and not effect the plant enough to need flushing.

I use the fox farm trio in ffof soil. When you flush before harvest, all that means is to stop giving nutes for the last two or three weeks in order for the plant to use them up and the water to flush it all out. You r going to be watering anyways.

GA , Is this a regime that I would be able to use without a lot of trial and error ? I noticed that the hydroplex and superthrive are very concentrated, does that mean easy to over-do and possible burn, and finally if I was to purchase this nute package would you share your feeding schedule with me ?

I use the Hydroplex in week 2 of flower and 10 drops of superthrive every gallon.Even with the watering and not feeding. You won't screw up with these I don't imagine.. I'll give you my rates of mixture for each gallon when you decide which route to take...

SuperThrive is snake oil. Read up on it. You are far better off with a good fish emulsion / seaweed extract.

I don't want to drink milk with hormones nor do I want to smoke marijuana with them. Like big said, I would read up on that stuff a little more and look for another alternative.10 drops per gallon sure seems like a lot.

I have read up on Superthrive and all the supposed myths.
What are your thoughts on Thrive Alive B-1?

I've seen it advertised but have no experience. I use Nitrozime which is a seaweed extract. I use if both as a foliar spray and in the soil. It's a seaweed extract and likely a cheaper product will do just as well. I inherited a quart which seems to last forever. Look at what RT has to say about superthrive. He nails it.

Where would I find that about the Superthrive? Cause I've used it for years.. No adverse affects.. Just curious as to where the info came from..

There is a fair amount of debate on SuperThrive. I read an outstanding and very well researched article that convinced me. Of course I can't put my hands on it now... But here are a few links:
Vitamin B1 Myth (http://www.pdfdownload.org/pdf2html/pdf2html.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.puyallup.wsu.edu %2F%7Elinda%2520chalker-scott%2FHorticultural%2520Myths_files%2FMyths%2FVi tamin%2520B1.pdf&images=yes)
This quotes the above:

I'll dig around for more.

Iv just been turned on to a sample of Bio Tone from my hydro guy and it looks to be taking care of my plants well. I just re potted from party cups and im seeing roots popping up top of the soil. You only give water till 2nd week of flower and no flush needed. Its a mix of good stuff you add one cup to one gallon of soil and i put some perlite in as i always would. But the hydro guy uses it and thinks its the easiest way to go. So you would only need a few weeks of bloom at the end, then 14 days strait water, dry and toke:cool:
My thinking is why add nutes all the time, if all you need is already in the soil. And a bag goes a long way. Im still in veg, but in 2 weeks they out grew there pots so somethings making them grow, iv only gave plain water. Will see what happens in flower:thumbsup:
Good luck man:rasta:
