Hello, hopefully someone can tell me what caused this. I think im going to change out my nutrient res and start fresh but any insight would be much appreciated.

I gots some pics and filled out this thang...

What is your experience level? (first timer, novice, experienced...) second grow, first aeroponic

Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's) 400 watt mh, 4 100 watt equivalent clfs side lighting with
.2) Distance from tops? about a foot from mh and 3 to 4 inches from clfs
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...) bat wing?
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? in a basement fan blowing, heat register open
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? circulation fan
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? 400 and 4 100 watt cfl equivalent, 18-6 schedule

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...) hydroton rocks
.8) Size of container. about 40 gal with 10 gallons of water
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? i got clones in spongy medium stuff, i forget what its called

Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? tap water ph of about 7 before adjustments
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) ph drops, i keep it just under 6
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...) ph up/down
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. techniflora starter kit, about 400 ppm right now
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? i have the 1 minute on 4 minutes off timer that runs during lights on
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...) calmag
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? pretty stable
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph? runoff gets reused
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? ive used thrive alive b1 twice, using it weekly during light on

Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors? indoors
20) What size of closet, room or hut? 4 ft by 3 ft, glossy white dry erase board
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? 75-80 and around 25%
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? had recent spidermite infestation, treated with neem, no signs now

Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) 2 sour diesel, 2 new york city diesel, 2 white widow
24) From seeds or clones? clones

Not sure what is causing that leaf curl, but I did notice a couple things I would change.
First I would definitely stop foilar feeding. IMO by nature the roots are designed to uptake nutrients and water, not the leaves.
Second would be to bring your ph down. Try to keep the ph for aero around 5.4-5.6.

Hope this helps you out.
Good luck and happy growing. :hippy:

i had this problem and found it to be spraying to much and an ph problem.

ive also read that sometimes i can just be genetics of the plant.

nothing major to worry about aslong as you keep an eye on the ph and gradually reduce or higher it also stop spraying.

blueberries tend to have that trait. spongy medium most likely is rapid rooter, ditch the thrive alive, your plants look healthy otherwise as ive seen this a time or two, ignore and get some cuts if it doesnt become problematic. usually they grow out of it and do fine. i dont see anything your doing so terribly wrong that would adversely affect you.

I have seen this it is when the mother plant is in flower and the clone is cut and put back under 18/24 or what ever the light is.

interesting, but yeah my plants are looking healthy and great. I am actually running out of room so im in the process of getting another aeroponic system and light

ive seen it regardless of flowering. ive never flowered before rooting clones. to me its hormonal and/or stress.

IMHO It's PH. I would say they are puckering. I would sweeten the water up a lil to 6.5 and see how they react in say 24-48 hours. Some plants have a sweet tooth. I would stop follar feeding for a while as well. But that's just me.

i have to disagree on the foliar feed thing. leaves do absorb nutes. foliar feeding is a great way to add nutes without overdoing it. even still it can be overdone, so usually once a week (unless you have out of control humidity.) if nothing else i recommend a little rain once in a while. wash those leaves off so they breathe better. i use emerald triangle products which state on the label "CAUTION MORE IS NOT BETTER, DO NOT OVERUSE" so i foliar feed with those products to get the effect without blowing it. good times:jointsmile:
