I was wandering if anyone knows if its better to dry/ cure your trimmings and "larf" before making bubble hash. I like to dry mine but was told its not needed. Anyone know if theres anything to this???:stoned:

drying your trimmings makes it so the Trichome heads break off easier.

Alot of the pyschoactive chemicals dont become fully active until its poperly dried(thats why wet weed doesnt get you as high as proprely dried and cured weed). You would be screwing yourself out of potency if you use the wet clippings.

I also like to dry my clippings, and then store them in the freezer until I make bubble hash. The cold temperatures also make the trichomes break off easier.

Making hash is not when you extract the THC from the leaves, its when you break off the Trichomes, collect them, and press them.

We use both dry and wet, but freeze both before processing.

We've found that wet material often provides a stickier, more flexible bubble hash.

When the material is dried, it is more likely to break up and end up in the final product, but often this plant material carries other cannabinoids that are beneficial.

We don't notice any loss of potency from using wet material as decarboxilation (the process by which THC becomes active) requires heat and occurs during smoking or baking.

Using wet material does make it more difficult to calculate return percentage unless that is all you use.
