Quick Question about MH/HPS , Please help guys

Just wondering what would be more benificial for vegging my ladys , either a 400 Watt MH or a 600 Watt HPS ?? I know that they like MH for veg , just wondering if the other 200 Watts id be putting out , even though mostly the red spectrum ... would be better than the 400 W MH .

It's not just watts, it's wavelength....use the MH for veggin...hps for flower for best results...you can even add the hps to the MH for late flowering...supposedly it helps yields.

I be hearin this to Tank be usein both in my books be hearin to use both before for the benifit of both spectrums of light I be usein both in my grow from start to finish and my plants be thankin me for it by bein nice and healthy lookin and be givin me no problems yet knock on stump. Good luck pilgrem be hopin yu do well and get what yual be after in the end.

You can get enhanced blue spectrum HPS. How long you gonna veg? If it's a short time I'd go with the six hundred with an eye hortilux. This pic is two week old after transplanting clones with an eye hortilux hps. What more do you want?!
