Why not use a more organic acid like lemon, or lime juice?
I'm sure apple cider vinegar would work too. ..Probably be safer and taste better come harvest time. ...just my 2ยข.

I've been using organic lemon juice (not from concentrate) I get at the same health food store I get my unsulphured blackstrap molasses at, but I grow in dirt...tablespoon per gal for me and it does just fine. (from 7.1 to 6.6 ph) I only need ph down....Coffee works very well also! Also about one coffee scoop per gal. but this would be very messy in a hydro grow! Brewed coffee grounds do not work, however, I guess the acidic effect gets brewed out by Mr. Coffee! Fuggar be trippin I guess...:D There is nowhere local for me to buy the expensive (or cheap!) plant type, so I have to improvise. Citrous peels (zest) will work in soil also, btw. And none of it adds anything to the final product taste that I can tell. I was actually hoping for some lemon/coffee tasting herb...LMAO! I cannot tell you if any of these are cheaper to use than what you have been using tho. Too stoned atm for mathematical calculations!...:stoned:
ANYBODY BUT THE STEELERS! So, GO PACKERS! LOL!
