Hello all. I finally received my VA medical records today so I am ready to look for a doc.:D It looks like I have 2 options, go with my osteoarthritis, and/or go with chronic pain. This will probably sound like a newbie question...but if you apply at and doc and your application fails, can you try to qualify again with another doc, or is it a one shot thing?:wtf: Also wondering if anyone can tell me if the arthritis application takes one doc or two like the chronic pain does.
Thanks:thumbsup:

The application for arthritis only takes one signature, but it has to be by a rheumatologist or other specialist of the type of arthritis that you have. If you are up around Albuquerque, you should be able to find a specialist... good luck!

I would go with the osteoarthritis because you will only need one doctor to sign.It is not like you have to qualify per say but you do have to have one of the qualifying conditions .so find a rheumatologist that wil sign I don't know one in albuquerque but do know one in santa fe.

Thanks for the help deserthealer and alphonso2002, I really appreciate it:thumbsup: I got quite a bit of medical records from the VA, and I am going to have to go through them to find out what exactly they say, because I may have to send release forms to the 3 other Veterans Hospitals to get portions of my records from there as well. That should give me the time to find someone in the Albuquerque area. If I can't find someone local, I will go to the one you mentioned up in Santa Fe. I feel a little concerned as to just how bad the arthritis is supposed to be and how they would measure that, but since mine is pretty bad I am hoping that it won't be a problem.:wtf: Anyway, thanks again:D If anyone else has knowledge of a friendly rheumatologist in the Albuquerque area, or any other info, please feel free to post. :)

Don't be concerned about that if it is causing you pain then it is bad enough. Don't look at it as that any doctor is doing you a favor by stating what you condition is .You should be able to seek relief any way you can get it.

Sorry StonerCasper, I am unable to contact you via your instant messenger.:(
I am not too good with computers, and I can't seem to get in touch with you. Maybe you can contact me off-list? Hopefully that will work.:)
