A lot of you probably like to go see live music like I do and you probably have a band in your area that's really good, but just hasnt hit it big yet.

Theres a band here in SC out of Charleston that calls themselves "Jump, Little Children"

You can check them out at www.jumphq.com

If any of you reply, I'd be interested in checking out some of your bands just to hear some different music

Montreal, home of The Arcade Fire. They're probably one of the greatest bands to come out of this city.

Other notable Montrealers include Melissa Auf Der Maur and the band Moist, with singer David Usher... These people are ok, but not really my kind of music. But the Arcade Fire is reeeaaaaalllllyyyy good :D

Sugar Gypsies...but they may be changing the name. My friend Dan is the singer, they're pretty awesome for the area.

Totally off subject but kind of funny: there is a local bar that just recently turned the upstairs of the bar into a swingers club. So, Dan says, "Hey, Mary, did you hear the new logo for Jacky's?" I'm like, "No, what is it?"
"Jacky's...come on in to eat out!"

Hahahahahaha, silly Dan! :D

Koshea, I've heard of that Door Number 2 band before. Some of my friends hit up all the local shows. Personally I can't stand that alternative/emo stuff, but they do sound pretty good.

Kram, I actually plan on visiting Charleston within the next 2 years. I hear it's beautiful, can this be verified?

If youre going to visit anywhere in the southeast, visit Charleston. Its not a big crowded city like Atlanta or Charlotte, but its not necessarily small either.
If you like history, there are tons of colonial era homes and buildings, and a lot of civil war era stuff (which really doesnt interest me.)
If you like music there are a lot of clubs where you can hear live music or go dancing.
Plus the city sits on a narrrow peninsula so theres water all around you.
Sorry if I sound like the chamber or commerce, but it really is a nice place :)
