I will soon have a couple tests upcoming where I am planning on using quick fix 5.7. I have been reading about samples needing uric acid? This kit does not have the little beads to put in it like the Canadian kit. I will be taking my test in New York. Is the current Quick Fix I have applicable for my test?

What batch code do you have? Batch code is printed on the upper-left corner of the instructions sheet.

Hi Burnt Toast,
Thanks for getting back to me. U and Diege are great. I bout the QF about seven months ago. When I bought it I called spectrum labs and asked about the batch number and they said it was the newest one and that it was good. Since then I have moved and lost the paper your're referring to with the batch number. My primary question is about the Uric Acid and the detection of QF without it. I know states like Oregon and in Canada they are more stringent.. so I wanted to know if anyone recently used QF in New York and failed due to specimen being deemed not human. I am just concerned about the smell and bubbles not being present. My last two tests I subbed using a clean sample from a friend, but after moving he is over an hour a way in the wrong direction. Will QF 5.7 work in NY without the Uric Acid is my question. I also have the adulteration strips as I originally began diluting (you may remember my posts about passing with Qcarbo some time ago)... so I can check the integrity of the QF, just nervous about not having the Uric Acid and if I should just buy the Canadian version.. Thanks!

I have not heard of anyone failing for Uric Acid in New York. Your guess here is as good as ours and the only way to find out is to go with it.
