drug test in a few days going nuts! please help

Hi I smoked a few joints very weak ones about 30 days ago I am having an upcoming drugtest and not sure how it will workout since I dont know what their cutoff usually is? I am told this is a very pro lab that does the work.

I tested myself 2 weeks ago with 50ng cutoff test and it was negative and 1 week ago with 25ng cutoff diptest also negative but in both case the test line was pretty faint compared to control line.

anyway what do you guys think my chances of passing are? also does anyone know labs use cutoff limit lower than 25ng?

don't worry even faint line mean you pass, for lab standard- 50 ng/ml EMIT initial test, 15ng/ml for GC/MS confirmation test
they run GC/MS if initial come positive or if the company order the test pay for, for example if the test is for job. If the lab is certified will use this standard.
btw if you look for real answer ,morning urine have the highest concentration, ..so go to take your test at the evening,

oh thank you very much for the quick reply just the info i was looking for, ok so there is no difference between faint or bright line that is reasuring and also would make sense since no matter how many times I do the 25ng test it always comes up with the faint line sometimes more bright and sometimes less seems almost random but never as clear as the control. if the line intensity was indication of level of thc then it should have gotten brighter over this week.

Anyway yes I tested my morning urine 1 week ago with 25ng which was negative so hopefuly now 1 week later I am below 15ng that you mentioned was the cutoff for confirmatory test.

The thing that worries me is the fact that I have been forced to be inactive due to my deskjob and wish i knew if i have below 15ng right now :( you never know lab to lab perhaps their reutine is to do the gc/ms on each test.

what do you think asuming i had 24.9999 1 week ago with half life being what it is can i be below 15ng right now?

There is no meaning attributed to the intensity of a line. Even synthetic urines (which contain no drug metabolites at all) can register a faint line on an assay.

The GC/MS is only used to confirm positives that have occurred on the intial assay screen. It would be too costly for both the lab and the client to use the GC/MS as the primary analysis.

Dont let the lower cutoff of the GC/MS worry you. A 50 ng assay is functionally equivalent to the 15 ng GC/MS. Their cutoffs numerically differ is because the assay recognizes all 31 metabolite concentrations combined, while the GC/MS only recognizes one metabolite concentration (THC-COOH).

In order to test negative on the assay, the whole combination of the 31 metabolite concentrations must register below 50 ng.
In order to test negative on the GC/MS, only that one metabolite concentration, THC-COOH, must register below 15 ng.

ah I see thank you very much for the in debt explanation i have been googling for hours without much answer, amazing how ignorance can drive one crazy.

well I did only the diptest myself so not sure if they test for all the metabolites or only one however what you say is logical it would not make financial sense for them to run gc/ms on every single test as just for my company they would have to test almost 400 people. I am pretty sure that the cost for my company to have each person tested using this third corp is around 100 usd.

The reason i worry so much is in fact not because of myself as I can deal with the consequences however i have a family to worry about and I would hate to put them in financial jeopardy because of a few xmas parties.

Anyway I will try to hydrate moderatly the day of the test which is in 2 days to improve my chances a bit and try to get some sleep tonight my wife is starting to notice my stress and I cant explain to her why...
