So yeah. Started toking again about 10 years ago after laying off for 20+ years to complete my military career. I slowly built up to getting high every day and then pretty much all the time. Been doing that for about the last five years without any significant breaks. At first a quarter would last me 2 months or more, but lately a half lasts me a month or less.

Soooo, I decided to go on a tolerance break. It's been a little better than 2 weeks now and I miss it . . . :(

My target is to stay off it for 6 weeks. I figure that should really do the trick. I know my tolerance has already been lowered after 2 weeks, but I also want to prove to myself that I can go 6 weeks without. I've been a little surprised at how difficult it was to do this. Maybe cannabis has more of a hold on me than I thought? Got weak in the knees a few days ago and almost toked up, but I'm going to do this thing.

Side effects were negligible. For the first couple of days, I felt a little out of sorts and was pretty dang irritable. (acting like an a-hole is the way my wife put it) :D

I do find that I'm more patient and tolerant when I'm toking full-time. If I've been short or acted like an a-hole to anyone lately, I apologize.

help I got a plant that has leaves and it is green. Is that ok?
I put in in some dirt. and I water it sometimes alot but sometimes just a little and it is wilting kinda bad.
Should I keep on taking it out of the dirt and wacking the roots on the wall? Or should I pluck all the small leaves and just leave the big ones? It is not too big and it is under a light. I white light. Do I need to fertilize it, or does it do that itself?

Yeah, did the apple, and the toilet paper roll. ..but don't tell no one.

Went hiking in '86, up Anthony's Nose. (seriously, its a mountain on the appalachian trail in New York.) And when we got to the top we realized we didn't have any papers. So I broke off a piece of 6" aluminum tubing from my backpack frame. I rubbed it on a sharp boulder untill I got a hole in the side of it about ½" from one end. We packed some killer bud in the hole, and using one end as a carburetor we had our impromtu McGyver pipe.
The damn thing worked great!:joint1:

I used to go on the Appalachian here in Jersey a lot. Wawayanda Mtn, and off of various trail heads in Vernon and Wantage NJ. Not backpacking trips though, but there are a few shelters and have met backpackers on the trail.

hmm, I think I was much further north when I was in Colorado, near the Red Feather Lakes Poudre River area. Almost up in Wyoming. I had been in Colorado hiking about a month earlier than that but had just acquired a large amount of Northern Lights so it is a bit hazy where I was LOL

I used to backpack quite a bit in Northern Colorado (around the Granby/Grand Lake area). Anybody else ever hike up to Cascade Falls? Man, first thing in the morning the light hitting all the mist creates a myriad of rainbows. Really beautiful country. Did some hiking on the AT too . . . waaaayyyy back in the day RH. :thumbsup:

Now what gets me is; This guy is still here! Where are the Mods?

We have some excellent Mods and usually they spot trouble before it gets out of hand. But the Mods seem to be nowhere to be found.
Another thing I have noticed is that a lot of other members arent coming around as often either. Atleast not logging in. Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I have been mulling my suspicions around for the last couple of days. I dont want to seem overly paranoid, but I cant help wondering if something is up.
I used to moderate and admin a couple of websites/forums a few years ago, and in all of them I had access to every members ip addresses. Whenever we had an issue with a member, it was really easy to do an ip search to find that persons location and other info. Some sites listed their ip in their profile, and also showed "guest" ip's.
Other sites you could only see when the person in question was logged on.

I used to moderate and admin a couple of websites/forums a few years ago, and in all of them I had access to every members ip addresses. Whenever we had an issue with a member, it was really easy to do an ip search to find that persons location and other info. Some sites listed their ip in their profile, and also showed "guest" ip's.
Other sites you could only see when the person in question was logged on.

I try to warn people when I see something that just isn't flying with me. I try to point things out maybe that I shouldn't if Big Brother is at the helm steering this ship.

Until we see our friendly mods back (and not falsely ie: their accts hacked by the man) I am going to be very leary of any new poster. Sad for them if they just happened along looking for some place that is packed with some really cool peeps to call home. :(

Trying to seek relief from a bout with insomnia, I decided to snoop around the members list. If you check out the known mods ... look in on their statistics and notice their last log in date/post. :wtf: Although, there has been some really bad weather in areas our mods reside. Power outages, internet losses, snow up to the eyeballs etc.

Let us all hope this is the case and everything will be back to normal soon. :cool:

Either its an extreme troll activity since the mods are away, or its all about mod selection/election.

I've had posts removed for far less than what that creep is/was doing. Thanks for the FoxyProxy advise. Had no idea it was available. Just downloaded and waiting to restart. The only reason I haven't been posting lately is because I haven't had anything pertinent to say. ok... now you got me worried. I have also noticed that lately the board seems to be signing me out after I sit reading a thread a while. This didn't happen when I first got on here, and I figured it was the mods enhancing the security so that IP's could not be grabbed from those who tended to log in and sit here for hours at a time.

I guess that I should not be updating my grow log any more until we hear something from the modfather. I am also going to now make sure to only connect using an IP spoofer for a while. Modfather? Are you out there? I am thinking of growing tomatoes but I am sorry... I can't take pictures of them. They are shy. :(

Hey Dex....somewhere around 6 to 8 feet depending on how tall you can make it and still move it around should you have to. It really depends on how tall you want to grow them....3 feet plants are usually good enough to get a decent yield, but allow for some "spare" headroom for the girls and lights.

BB, I am impressed! I had to quit for a year and a half once upon a time and it was indeed brutal! So what's it like to be a cheap date now? LOL! ;) I sat on a bud of killer and a 1/4 oz of hash the whole time, and when I got all done, I locked myself in my house with a 6 pack of Coors, drew all the shades and sat down and got obliterated....that was fun! I think that may have been the highest I've ever been! EVAAAA! :stoned: And I could only drink 2 out of 6 beers! Man, talk about a cheap date!:D Nicely done BB!

I like the Sun Hut tents myself. Very well made, and very functional. I have 2 of them, a 4x4x7 for the flowering, and a 4x2x7 for the veg area. It keeps everything nice and cozy and isolated from the rest of the world... just what I needed. And after trying to build one out of wood, for the quality, the tents were much cheaper than I could have done myself.

heh, while back i got lit like that after not smoking for some time, kept forgetting what I was doing or doing silly things...

Went like this..

I was about to leave NYC shortly after having smoked. So i get to the subway entrance and the whole side of the building that the stairway is under is boarded up for construction, so I figure, station must be closed. I check the time and I don't think I can walk 5 blocks to the other stop, catch the train and still get there in time for he bus, so I decide, lets walk over to a park and chill out for a bit.

So I get there, take a book out of my bag and start reading, smoke a lil more... After a while I head off to catch the train again.. I walk wrong direction to the first subway station had gone to earlier lol..

It was then I realized hah stoned.. So I walk 5 blocks down Ave over to the other subways stop. when I get to the street I want, I realize I'm a block away from the Avenue wanted to be on, and I realize had been on the wrong Avenue whole time, was one block off LOL... Guess the subway station wasn't closed... :D

I put in in some dirt. and I water it sometimes alot but sometimes just a little and it is wilting kinda bad.

I have to be honest...I wasn't homeless during the month of April of last year. I was staying in my mini-mobile home called a Bronco II. It was one of those times that I entered into that scenario knowingly. Hey, it was difficult..I spent days at the Marina, park and library keeping up on reading and contacts. :jointsmile:

I had a homeless guy stop and talk with me every day at the Marina. I'd even given them occasional rides. He was a laid off Boeing employee with an alcohol problem. I think he knew I had my meds.....I'd toke watching the ships come in and go, and check the beaches for artifacts. I even found a real nice arrowhead (projectile point) that helps prove the archaeological site I had recorded near by and battled with the WA SHPOs office over.

Nah, I wasn't homeless. I was just killing time waiting for orders from headquarters, just like I am today. Now damn, I wish she'd .......honey contact me, I'm sure we can work it all out!!! ;)

For about three years or so, I worked as a jack of all positions at an establishment near an international airport. One of my jobs was to manage the wireless network and a guest lobby computer. I was also like the junk yard dog when it came to miscreants misbehaving. It was an interesting job, and my employers were foreigners from Indian Punjab. When they and other family members were gone, I was responsible for the daily operations. I had contact with people from all over the world in many different aspect, and overall it was an excellent learning experience.

I miss my friends from that time. The upheaval was sudden and it started me on this temporary journey that's brought me to the present time. I greatly miss the one person who was my anchor through it all, even the hell and high water.

From it all, its left me burned out in some ways, in some ways it like a rites of passage thing. It can get a bit confusing. Overall, I still don't know what tomorrow will bring....hopefully all that I've been waiting for...but first....:what: A little about the actual me!! :D Like some one said on another thread, High Jack!!!! :lol5:
