View Full Version : too much oxygen in the water ??

im just curious would you put a air stone in the bottom of a hg rainforest 66 unit..if your not sure what im talking about its a hybrid ein geddy and dwc mixed unit..a vortex sprayer draws water up and mist the top 1/4 roots while the rest of roots sit in the nutrient solution my question this the vortex sprayer seems to provide plenty enough oxygen plants look outstanding would would they benefit from putting a air stone in the res.........thus my question is it overkill or could i actually be providing that much more co2 to the root mass....thanks for any help

The more air to the roots the better the plants produce in my experience. Those little air bubbles do so much good for such a cheap price!

someone told me water can hold so much oxygen and it would be overkill and a waste of money for the extra equip

You are no way near that point. Go with the airstone in the reservoir.
