It's my first grow and I'm happy so far! They seem to be growing kinda slow, but they look healthy to me! Started them on 1/4 strength nutes (MiracleGrow) which has helped with theyre rate of growth. I think what I'm gonna do is only take em up to 1/2 strength and feed more often, rather than full strength less often, which I heard is the better thing to do with MiracleGrow ferts. They're under flourescents 18/6. Still haven't gotten a fan on the poor things :/ Hopefully I'll have one by next week or so. I water about once every 2 or 3 days, is that too much? They seem to be okay with it! I feed em every other watering which they seem to be okay with as well.

Also, to get more potassium during flowering, I'm going to soak a couple cut up banana peels for a day or two and drain the water for soil and foilar feeding. Good idea or no? Might even mix up the pieces with the soil when I go to transplant. Which leads me to my next question..

When should I transplant? I've been wondering that for about a week now.. I'm not sure.

THANKS!!!! Happy toking/growing!!

You find your answers during the growth if you read instead of wondering.
Simply, use the same way with learning all those nutrient/watering things, you'll be good.

I agree with read read read but that plant looks fine. There was no need to transplant it before now. In fact, the plant will do better if you crowd its roots just a bit. Note that I'm not saying let them get root bound. The plant grows in cycles. First it concentrates on root growth needed to support additional above ground growth. Once the underground space is maximized they shift to canopy growth. At some point the roots can not support additional canopy growth. At that point you need to transplant or you will face issues - usually nutrient lockout which is not evident here. If you transplant too soon you won't maximize canopy growth, the roots will just keep stretching. It is the same reason that you do not start out in a 3 gallon pot. It is a balancing act to be sure.

By the looks of it you timed it just right. That said, you should probably re-pot it soon!

he means people on here sometimes start growing and then start asking the questions as the need arises. almost every answer youll ever need is on here somewhere. its fine by me for those who wish to ask questions, remember though a lot of us answer the same question over and over. while methods may vary these plants have the same basic needs we do. so if your gearing up to flower...do you have effective lighting? please get a decent fertilizer. banana peels wont sustain a flowering plant. might add some carbos though. look at some nutrient lines and compare prices as to whats better for you $ wise. you have very nice looking plants, the trick now is to finish them right. this will take practice and youll have more questions to come. tool through here first and then ask if your still having problems. mj loves airflow so for sure get a fan and let them wave. that will help make the stem stronger and helps with respiration. flouros are fine for now, as they grow you will need more efficient lighting and then a different light for flower(preferrably hps) i think you should repot now to a mid size pot and veg some more, meanwhile plan out your flower stage and transplant again before flowering. this is the reason i adopted net pots in three different sizes for seamless transplanting. transplanting like this will save space. good luck to you.

I've got to second this post by MEDEDCANNABIS. That's good advice. When doing research on this site skip the internal search engine and go to google. Type your search terms followed by site:boards.cannabis.com. It is much more effective. For example:

transplant schedule site:boards.cannabis.com

That said, you can refer to a link in my signature below for instant gratification. There are some other good n00b threads there as well.
