Does white widows tricomes ever turn amber. I am in my 11th week still all white hairs. WW is usually done after 8 weeks of flower.

Everything does that I know of. What you using to look at trichomes??

I am using the 30x magnifier you get at the hydro shop with a little built in light. However I find it very hard to get a real good look at the Trichromes. I also have one of those jewelry eye magnifiers 30x but doesn't seem to let me see the mushroom shaped trichromes.

Pictures would really be nice. {HINT}{HINT} I am working on a couple of White Widows here myself and would appreciate the sneak preview.

I would be concerned too..White widow should only be about 55-60 day plant. Just keep an eye and don't let her go too long...unless you want a couch locker like non other ;) I have had people tell me my pheno is not WW, Unless the seed bank jacked me I have had this plant for almost 2 years now and it does the same thing everytime I grow her...that is why I like the ww very much...very predictable, easy to grow, great producer, decent smoke and if done right a potent strain. I hope these pics do them justice lol. :)

one of us isnt growing white widow, since my plants look nothing like yours. However my widows do take more then 11 weeks so I know your frustrations. Some are as much as 12 or 13 weeks in my experience. I'm starting week 12 flower on a batch right now and not a single amber tric among 8 plants.

crappy phone camera...that's about as good as it gets unfortunately... I've been told before that my widow isn't widow... I would like to think though the place I got the seeds from wasn't full of shit, but I guess nothing is ever %100 lol.

Thanks for the info. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I thought maybe the shooting powder was extending the flowering period. Mine look to be changing color slightly now. Hey Daddy where you been? Haven't heard from you in a while. Good to see you again Bro!!! Pictures coming later today. The seed bank instructions said 8-9 weeks flowering for WW. I guess they are wrong.

Nice looking buds... but I'm thinking this is not White Widow because of the lack of trichomes already on the leaves and the shape and shinyness of those leaves. WW puts out so much resin that everything starts taking on a sugar coated appearance, even early in flowering. These are indeed very pretty, but certainly something different. The longer leaves tell me it is more of a sativa and therefore is going to have a longer flowering time than your typical indica or the 60/40 indica/sativa hybrid known as White Widow. I am very curious what some of the experts around here will say now that we can see your plants. Someone no doubt has seen this strain before.

Yea I hear ya. I grew Crystal and the flowers around the buds were all covered in Trichomes (sugar coated if you will). I think I have about a week or 2 left. The fact that I am now in my 11th week tells me they must be something other than WW. I got my seeds from a reputable online overseas source.

go easy on the nitrogen during flower, your getting leafy lanky buds because of it.

No, I got them from cannabisseeds.com The seed company you mention is a good one(marijuana--seeds.nl) . I got Bubble Gum from them and it was kick ass.

ok then...my theory is wrong or at the very least is unproven. Who knows.

One more tid bit on early harvest. If you harvest too soon then your high will be too racy and wont last that long. Better to let them go that extra week or two or the entire run will be disappointing for you. I harvested at week 9 waiting and waiting for those trics to turn...big mistake. I had a mold issue in my defense at the time so I didn't have much choice.
