couple things i ran into at the hydro store i go to. htgsupply dot com they have a store in shrewsbury mass right off 146. but the manager gave me some "ONA block" its a odor control $6 . i placed in my 2' X 4' X 7' tent and took away all the odor and i didnt even take the cap off or poke holes in the top cap like directed.....i simply unloosened the cap slightly. works great no need for carbon filter i did some googling and found great reviews as well so i figure i share.
Also, the manager was showing some new nutrient line. Called "CUTTING edge Solutions". its got great reviews online and the key point he made was it requires no ph adjusting... i guess it automatically will self adjust in a couple days. so its a very simple and effective product. I believe it was created in NORTHERN CALI by some of the top growers and researchers.

they also mentioned an all organic additive called "the other tomato: all phase" its on youtube and was put on test against advanced full line and was a week a half a head of time and fuller denser buds. they used just a base npk with the other tomato and achieved amazing results i believe the company is out of Denver, Colorado.

On another note i visited some Local RI stores and WOW they prices are ridic... and most set ups seem very unorganized and def not somewhere i would look for advice or equipment besides the fact the prices are almost twice as much. i mentioned HTGsupply to a couple owners and even they said they cant touch there prices!!! i was simply looking for an alternative to driving up to shrewsbury,ma 45 mins away from RI... but it seems i got lucky and found not only better prices but a much more informed and knowledgeable staff. who can and will help you design and find whats the best set up for you... One point was even though they sold some particular items , the employees would tell you honestly that they dont recommend it even though it was sold there.(looking out for your interest not there pockets which seems the case here in RI) so if anyone is looking in saving some $$$, getting great equipment, advice, and stability goto HTGsupply... they have a dot com... 9 warehouse stores nationwide..and are on EBAY and have over 33,000 sales with 99.7% positive feedback. They have everything you need in one store not like many these RI stores which i understand are most new start ups and take time to really get to the level they would like. HTGSUPPLY has 9 other stores nationwide and the store i went to is like a nice 8000 sq ft warehouse filled with anything a grower could want. They also have alot of nutrients that RI stores dont even offer or heard of because they have 8 other locations ...they have knowledge from all the major MM and growing communities. I did mention to them about opening an RI store and i guess its been the works so i hope it happens soon. If not guess ill keep driving the 45mins... PLusss they alway throw in something free for me, just be open with them they cant explicity talk about MM since its in MASS. but they def know what you need and can explain exactly how to achieve any and all results....

just wanted to make clear i wasn't trying to slander any particular shop in RI..Im sure with time and experience some will get to be at this level some day. But for now its in our best interest to deal with someone who can help us.... the few i went through in RI are def new business's. So i understand it takes time and when your a small business its hard getting distributors to give you the large wholesale discounts which in return give the customer an overall higher price.:(:mad:...HTGsuppy has been in the business a while now...:thumbsup:has 9 locations nationwide:thumbsup:,and always expanding hopefully soon to RI:thumbsup::thumbsup:,huge internet presence:thumbsup:, and because of there ability to buy in BULK they return give the customer a better equipment for better price:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:. with knowledge coming from all over the USA not just RI. I think this is something all new growers especially (1 reason bc they have everything you need in one store at all times at great prices from small $200 setups to $100,000 set ups)and the experienced grower can appreciate and take advantage of there ability to get great equip @ low $$$ example for a 1000 watt digital ballast hps & mh (cool to the touch at all times, is actually better then most digital ballast on market)is only $260 at htg and when i went to a local store they said over $360 for just the ballast.. HTG sells the digital ballast..hps & mh....you can get the biggest reflector the BIG kahuna air cooled 33â?� Long x 27â?� Wide and 10â?� Deep ...with a 1000 watt hps bulb and a 1000 watt mh bulb and sockets for $450!!!!! At our local RI stores your looking at well over $600 prolly more....HTG also sells a 400 watt hps & mh standard ballast with reflector and 400 watt hps bulb and 400 watt mh bulb and sockets and a heavy duty timer all for only $165!!!! plus RI has 7% tax not 5% like Mass...:thumbsup:good for big orders plus they give big discounts the more you spend.... and tons of freebies....as well warrantys on almost everything you buy !!

sorry for the rude post but looks to me htg sells garbage products at top dollar,i use the guys at good to grow in west greenwich and they are currently selling a top of the line 600 or 1000watt system complete with the hortilux bulb,enclosed hood and very good magnetic ballast for 399.00.htg's 600 watt system looks like it was made in someones basement and there asking 360.00.sounds like you work for these guys,and not to mention the staff is the best i have ever delt with.

Mother Nature Hydroponics is on post road in Warwick, RI. As far as prices go, they are the cheapest when it comes to nutrients. I previously shopped at the store on Atwood ave in johnston, and good to grow in exeter.
This store is atleast 10 dollars cheaper on most all of their products, so that is worth the savings if you count the travel time ( and gas) to exeter. Plus I'm from warwick so being close by is great.
Now keep in mind that this is a young store, having been open for less than a year now. That means they are growing and learning with each new customer they get. So, like the other stores, they can order anything you need if it's not in stock.
As far as experience they are quite knowledgable and have helped me out on a few occasions. For ex, I purchased an Ebb and Gro system from them (very cheap I might add ) and found out the controller was defective. I took it back and they exchanged it no problems.
Now someone said before in a review of this store that they were " just a couple of homies selling nutes". Is there some requirement as to what a store owner is supposed to look like? Yes they are Hispanic and young, so what... they are making a living like everyone else, and I am glad they took a chance to start a business in a community that is predominantly caucasion and one that is known for not having the most friendliest police dept around.
So, if you don't want to drive across the state to get your supplies give them a try. Another thing I liked when I went there is that they had a few " regulars" that kinda hang around and help out time to time. These " oldtimers" had a lot of knowledge to share if you ask them the right questions.

the ballast i have runnss supper quiet....and cool to the touch at any time.. even after being on for days....and saves more electricity without sacrificing output like most digital ballast sold



post i found for 2007... a customer had an issue with a bulb ..some reason couldnt get ahold of them for a week finally did they overnited him a new bulb and SENT a FREE BULB !! $70 value for his troubles...and the customer .still orders from themm and is very happy

I DO MY RESEARCH... i dont like to waste money... time and energy... Yes another big point why i like HTG... they have stores everywhere so they have knowledge and new products from all over not just info found in RI.... considering RI is still new to the whole mm ... these guys have been around it a while and can and will take the time to explain what ever you need... to me a big plus id pay more for the products but there cheaper here to so its a double :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Huh....Rhode Island marijuana grow scene has been around forever. It has ties to some of the first seeds banks in the US. Sounds like you get your history from that grow shop too

IMO cannabis has been in the US for a long time everwhere....but the scene has been more prevalent in Cali..Colorado...just to name a couple..... especially when it comes to grow stores. they all seem to be in there first year or 2

HONESTLY, I have a life and ....put it this way i simply wanted to relay this information abroad. obv you 2 work at a grow store in RI and both are new to this forum...prolly just to post on this comment... From one of my convos with a RI grow shop owner....he mentioned how all the RI grow shops are trying to do a monopoly and raise prices everywhere so ppl have no other choice in RI.. this particular RI grow shop owner said he was not down for that, and was actually threatened to do so... so IDK bout everyone else...but i KNOW HOW RI works and this is a prime example ...

the 400 watt i was talking about is there cheapest set up and its only $165 for 400 watt HPS/MH ballast...reflector...hps and mh bulbs..sockets..and heavy duty timer!!!

To be honest both i would assume... these guys are pretty cool and laid back and helped me out the first time around just don't be scared to ask for the best deal .i have 8 yrs. business sales exper. so naturally i have my ways of getting the best absolute deal no matter what im buying...mentioning ur driving an hr to visit them from RI cant hurt :cool:... i got a tons of freebies

HTG sucks when I first went there to get everything I needed for my room lets just say they sold me the most expensive knock off stuff I've ever bought and they sold me things I didn't even need all of there nutrients are way over priced... I got to organic grow hut in smithfield ri best prices I've seen so far at any store... my opinion I would never buy anything from htg ever again and I wouldn't suggest anyone else to either
