First up, I've done plenty of advanced searches and read all I can find here so there's just a few very specific questions I have about the dilution method, both of which relate to the specific gravity of the sample.
The first is about Rolaids/Tums. I've seen several things mentioning eating your Rolaids/Tums to affect the specific gravity of your sample. The only specifics I've seen are:
3. 2 hours before test - Drink 1 quart gatorade pop 2 aspirin, 4 rolaids,3Qtabs
4. 1 hour before test - Drink 1 quart gatorade+2tblspn Tablesalt, 2 rolaids, 2 tums, 3Qtabs, 2 aspirin
Would this be more or less accurate in regards to the Rolaids/Tums, specifically how many to take and when to take it?
Second, I've read in a couple of posts about adding salt to the sports drink you're drinking, again (I presume) to affect specific gravity. Is this really necessary? If so, how much should be added?
I'm planning to use dilution strictly as a "Plan B" to substitution, but as this is for a job I really really need I want to not be caught with my pants down should "Plan A" turn out to be a no-go. I'm not sure how the employer would react to a 'negative-dilute' result, but I can at least tell an MRO in all honesty that I was ill/recovering from an illness (and thus getting plenty of rest and drinking plenty of fluids, I'm still sick as of this posting) at the time the test was administered.
Some other related information:
6'0, 150 lbs. Low body fat, fairly quick metabolism if you asked me, though comments on my metabolism are basically pure speculation on my part.
At the expected time of the UA (Wednesday, 1-19) I will have abstained for 6 days, previously being a habitual, moderate smoker (2-3 bowls a day on average).
Quick Fix is not an option for me this time; the timeframe is too short for me to afford the shipping costs.
I have already started my creatine loading
Thank you in advance for any answers, links or advice that might be forthcoming.
