So recently I've experimented with consuming marijuana by eating it raw. The times I have tried it after being on a 100% raw food diet have been good experiences. I got the idea from the website cannabis.co.uk on eating raw cannabis, and also reading about some recent articles on consuming raw marijuana buds and leaf in shakes for medicinal purposes.

I prefer consuming marijuana buds raw because I like the high better and it lasts longer. I want to ask though what would make it better absorbed into the body? I think chewing it makes it better if at least makes the medicinal properties absorb quicker into the bloodstream. I chew it for about 20 minutes and after that swallow it. It is spicy but according to the author of cannabis.co.uk the spiciness goes away after being on a raw food diet for a long time or at least after making the body more alkaline or at least the optimal pH the body should be, at which point also the medicinal properties in raw cannabis will also be easier to digest.

I thought about what people generally do before consuming cooked cannabis products. They eat fatty foods and specifically coconut oil or healthy fats, or eat it on an empty stomach and also drink lots of water to help distribute the medicinal compounds about the bloodstream. Should some of those principles still be considered when consuming raw marijuana? I also thought of (yes) having just a little coconut oil while chewing it in my mouth. Not sure if it would do anything.

Has anyone else tried any other "raw" marijuana methods with success? ie blending, dehydrating (decarbing at really low temps) or drying, lemon juice/alcohol/vinegar soak (might not be considered raw) and then dehydrate, dehydrated marijuana sun tea, fermented marijuana products ie pickling, "kombucha", rejuvelac, kefir grain, enzyme soaking, seed sprouting, oil marijuana laying out in the sun or whatever...

or just regular old chewing either on an empty stomach or after a fatty meal.

Which of these methods really work?

No idea, but a sistren of mine who is working on her Raw Food Certification uses cannabis sprouts. To my knowledge there is no effect from that, just another living food. I would be interested to hear about some rejuvelac experiments, I'll ask my sis next time I see her if she has any input.

Also, another of my friends has mentioned a beverage she consumes in the morning made from cannabis, but I am unsure how it is made. I haven't spoken with her in some time (something wierd happened that I am not aware of the circumstance), and as she is now living in Spanish Town Jamaica I don't have any way to go search her out.
