New Blooooom Roooom - Northern LIGHTS HPS clones
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to when I should put my lights 12/12 and get out of the 24/0 veg?

this is day 2 for the clones under a 600hps + 150hps Room has great ventilation.
my temps are always around 79 and my humidity is around 20-25%. is this ok for such new clones?

I spent lots a time on building the room and investing in quality product and I have great expectations.. some new friends to come along for the ride would be sweet.. I don't want to cut corners and obviously want max yields. I am open to all and every comment or suggestions from the boards community.

Thanks to all who guide me to an efficient productive grow. Id like to make the best out of my new bloom room and northern light clones.

For vegetative stage is better to use MH lights and for flowering are HPS will do best. As far as how long you need to keep your clones in the vegetative state it's really up to you. Technically you can flower your clones right away because genetically they are the same age as the mother plant which is usually is the plant that is ready to flower. So if you have a lot of clones(30-50) you can make SOG (screen of green): you take 3" or 4" ABS plumbing pipes, cut them in length foot or foot and a half fill them up with your grow medium and plant your clones in them. Than place all of them in one or two storage containers about 4x5x2 and flower them. You will get a lot of small plants with huge top buds. Or if you want them to grow in the vegetative state it would be up to you how long you'll keep em in that stage it depends on the size you desire. Theoretically this type of plans will stay in the vegetative state for many years as long as they receiving continius supply of light no less than 18hr a day. Good luck!

Usually 8 weeks of vegetative grow is enough.

Good setup.
Since you are open to all and every comment or suggestions, I can come up with some.

First raise the humidity some how. I'm not familiar with clones but 20-25% is low for normal vegging and must be harder for the young clones i think.
You can start with removing those unused big soil bags. They'll suck up humidity instead of plants. Best way is a humidifier but, if you're out of budget, you can use wide water tray/s filled with water. Wet towel, or some other things can be used as well.

600hps not needed at the moment IMO. Lights distance looking high. You can keep it closer. Still, I am not familiar with HPS but looked too much and high to me. (Using only 150W now also helps raising humidity)

Your medium have everything in it and looks strong/dangerous for young plants. You must be careful in the beginning (Whenever I see "allmix", "fullmix", "supermix" or similar, i think like this).

Looks like you don't need to feed for a long time. Maybe clones need some rotting nutrients? I don't know. And again i don't know how suitable is this medium. Maybe you can attach labels photo/info instead of brand :)

Are you planning to veg just a week? Say month.

By the way, i am not an advanced grower either. Consider this.

Good luck

promix has NO nutes ,it is a soilless medium , all food will be provided in the water.the question is "how tall before i flower?".just eyeballing the # of plants you have to put in a 3 1/2' space i'd say 8" to 10" with mature plants finishing at 20" to 36" tall... some thinning/training may be necessary.

3 gal of promix per plant may be a little much for the next repotting , it will dry to slowly ... suggest you go to one gal next

to late to edit #5.. instead of "the question is "how tall before i flower?" insert "addressing the question of "how tall before i flower?"

I normally let them get 12-14 inches before flowering. They will stretch some too. Make sure you have the height. You'll be happy!:D

Producer saying the opposite:

Description:
PRO-MIX 'BX'/MYCORISE® PRO is a "general purpose" peat-based growing medium with vermiculite and perlite, used for the cultivation of a wide variety of plant species. MYCORISE® PRO ensures stronger, healthier plants due to more developed root systems and better fertilizer uptake.
Components:
Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (80-85 % / vol.), Endomycorrhize (Mycorise® Pro), Perlite â?? horticultural grade, Vermiculite, Dolomitic & Calcitic Limestone (pH adjuster), Macronutrients, Micronutrients, Wetting Agent

I was a long time user of Pro Mix. I switched to a local mild compost mix. However, I'm surprised to see the addition of starter ferts now to the Pro Mix line. I went down and looked at an old bale I had and it doesn't list micro/macro or starter nutes as the site does now. I always remembered it being a clean peat mix. Perhaps new labeling laws in Canada? I stopped using it because of its lack of nutes. Wait, what is this thread about? Oh. Lower the 150. Kill the 600 for a week or two. At least you won't have many mold concerns when you flower with 20% humidity. What tev said.

The low humidity in flower will actually bring out more trichs. Only thing is you will have to water more often.

Producer saying the opposite:i have 3 bags of pro mix bx mfg date code aug 15 2010.... no nutes listed....but as tevfix and Cabighed points out their website states it has nutes.does anyone have the NPK info ?

I wont start using it until mid flower.

I am considering molasses as well...

Should start to fill out but most weight will come in the last 2 - 3 weeks. Don't harvest early.

You will get better response to your posts if you only post it once. You've posted this in "indoor growing" and "grow logs." Pick one. Grow logs is where it belongs...

I have decided to take out the 150 compact hps system and replace with a 1000w hps.

I will now be running one 600w HPS system along with my 940w EYE HORTILUX conversion bulb mh to HPS.. 130,000 inital lumens from that bad boy.. this should fat up-fill out these lovely ladies for sure.

I was thinking this could be over kill but considering i have been able to keep temps down in the low 70's and i have more space in height, I think it will be a step in the right direction.

Again I would love to here all input from all you growers about my plants, set up, and nutes.. thanks!

Ultra Ace conversion lamps are HPS lamps that operate on Metal Halide systems. Transforms a one-dimensional Metal Halide lighting system into a complete growing system. Provides optimum Red spectral energy required for flowering. Initial Lumens: 130,000 Rated Life Hours: 24000 Ballast Required: 1000 Watt Metal Halide

Nice NL grow man:thumbsup:. I have a NL#5 going now thats been budding for me around 5 weeks or so. I havent had the pleasure of trying to many strains, but this ones gotta be one of my favorites. Il bet you will get a nice screen of tasty buds in a few weeks. If you get a chance check out mine, its got mad white hairs all over with lots of buds.

It was a clone i took from a sick plant last summer and was taken before the mom got sick. But still had issues, which will give me a smaller yield then id hoped, but will be popping more soon, cuz its such great smoke:thumbsup:

Keep er green bro:rasta:

i'll give a good yield/smoke report as soon as they are fully ready for jars...
shouldn't be much longer as the buds are airy and will dry fast..

any guesses???
