does anyone know anything about this brand of ballasts? I just exchanged my first one for another one (both r exactly the same) because it was getting insanely hot like burn plastic hot and now my new one seems like its doing the same. Can someone please help?

nobody is gonna what "too hot is". I would run it until it stops, then take it back.

Well with a name like valuline...which I have not heard of and I just did a bunch of research....

I suppose it was the least expensive? Sometimes you get what you pay for with the lower valued stuff. I would not use a ballast that gets hot enough to melt plastic. Go buy a name brand ballast. Cutting corners could cost you not only your garden but your entire home.

Buy the way, heat is wasted electricity.....
