Not sure if this is the right place to post, but dating seems almost impossible if you're growing! Has anyone else felt like this? How do you deal with this issue? Trust is earned, so in the meantime what can I do? I've never been this lonely. Any feedback or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, just be patient and wait it out....you'll have more friends than you know what to do with when it's finished and cured! Trust me...my bros always seem to know when it's getting close cuz the phone starts ringing off the wall, and I start getting invites to do all kinds of stuff after three months of hibernation.;) Hey, you got the girls and us until then...we all in the same boat, bro. I got a dog too and he helps...go get a dog or a pet of some kind (HINT: they make co2 also!:D)

Dating and inviting someone to see my grow room are two completely different things! One simply would never be done... the other is a necessary part of life!

After a couple of weeks, the men I've dated start to wonder why they can't come over. I feel for you, pretty. But keeping your situation private is the key to a successful and undetected grow.

Personally if someone can not understand that I want a private life outside of the dating realms and choose to not have them in my apt./home etc. if they can not understand this then they are not worth my time and trouble.

Best of luck to you and your dating life! My hopes for you is to find a grower whom is as "paranoid" as you and you fall in love and live a happy, healthy and high life together! I'll be watching ...

Well, I have a significant other, who knows all about my activities, but there are times I still feel "lonely", because I have this huge area of my life that is so out of the expected for my gender and age. There isn't anyone I feel I can be safely honest with, and that will probably stay the same.

My kids are in their 30's and they know, but they don't of course live with or near me, but other than that, absolutely no one knows. They tease me, but they understand that this is helping my MS immensely. When their significant others comment on how well I'm doing/moving, they can't tell them why, either. They just smile, agree and say it must be the yoga.

Even if it were a legal activity in my state, I still wouldn't flaunt it, just keep quiet. But, I do wish my state would make an honest woman of me.

These forums are the only place I can talk about any of this. It is lonely, but I guess that this is the choice I've made. I guess everything in life has some price.

Hi prettypisces: I've been growing here in Canada and I'll agree with all replies u have been given at this point, it's been almost ten years since I had a close relationship as terrible as this sounds it is a part of what we are doing that creates this it's by choice but only because of growing not by wanting to live alone or being a hermit...
From experiance the renting of another place makes sense I had done that exact thing about 6 yrs ago but what happend to me may change your mind the place I rented I only spent wknds and the odd nite there b4 I new it a neigbor thought it was odd I was in and out and hardly there so they took it upon themselves to call the cops thinking I was up to something ?? Without going on for ever here as this story is long !! My grow house was never found but it did put me in the polices eyes something none of us want period...
So some food for thought ??
It's just as lonely growing here in Canada aswell !!!

I'm sorry, I did not correctly credit prettypices for starting this post. Pardon.

This is a big issue, I would imagine, for many people who do this.

It isn't easy, but we need to stay below the radar, and to do that is to choose a lonely road. And, as you know, it isn't "paranoid" not to trust people with this info - it's a matter of survival. Some people are so petty and such busy-bodies.

For me, it's worth it only because of the incredible relief the products of my work give me. There is no other med out there that can help me like this one does, and it will be years before my state (or by then, my country) will allow me to have this medication for my MS. By then I will be either quite disabled or dead from this disease. I can't wait for them to get their collective heads out of their asses, or for them to die out. I don't have enough time for that. My life's a wasting!

I don't know if I could make this same sacrifice if I were using it recreationally, unless of course I was making a big profit!

But, whatever the reason for farming, it does create a lonely life. At least people here understand that.

Well, does anybody know how to start a paranoid growers dating site??? It kinda sounded silly when I first read it, but the more I thought about it, the more it might sound reasonable. Man, would it ever have to be secure tho.

I have an off/on significant other and have for about 8 years now, we don't live together, and she knows what I do and wants no part of it, so I always have to go to her house as she will not come here, period. I've often wondered how nice it would be to have a cool growing partner living with me, but I don't know how I would ever find one...If ya'll find a site that suits, or start one, lemme know!

I go into hibernation every winter when I grow. I don't let anyone but my best friend over and yes, it gets lonely. The dog idea definitely is a winner, that's how I get by, just me and my puppy. I had a girlfriend once who was cool, or so I thought. She one day decided she wanted to screw me and said if I didn't give her all the weed I just harvested that she was gonna tell my employer that I smoke. I work for the government, so that would have gone horribly. I called her bluff and since then security is top priority. My biggest problem is that we all know there are a ton of female tokers. Stop hiding yourselves away in your apartment and let us guys get to know ya.

Growers need stability in several areas, but if its a partner one is looking for, they should make it one they would spend the rest of their days with. :cool: Musical chairs gets old the older a person gets, and finding a good one takes time and patience. was it worth it? ehh...for the most part. some days are lonely though as i cant bring friends around too much.
