I have a plant in a pot that it's starting to out grow, and I was wondering how much the pot would inhibit it's growth potential. Does anyone know?

There is not a definite point when it becomes damaging/stunting. Once the plant cannot get enough water it will start to stunt. Remember what you see above the top of the pot has a distinct partner in the root system......all scrunched together.
Generally I judge time to change pots as: When the pot consumes 1/2 of it's size in water every day, (being dry the next day), it is time to enlarge pot.

Cool thanks, that's actually really good advice.
Oh and by the way. What if I start flowering her while she's still a little small. Do the roots stop growing when you start flowering?

No.. The roots still grow.. I start in small pots and transplant right before I flower. Within a week you see what kinda favor you did for your plant! They will LOVE you!:jointsmile::stoned::D
