Critique my Setup

I've had problems in the past with aero spray heads clogging so I tried to make a clog proof aero setup. The spray head I use now is a garden hose nozzle.
I took the top off the nozzle so it shoots sideways, but the top can be put back on to make a fine mist spraying upwards and about.
I haven't cut the lid yet, but I'm using corroplast or corraboard rather than the actual bucket lid.

Any suggestions on how I can stop leaks?
Do you think this is overkill? (500gph pump powering 2 hose nozzles)

I think if you leave the top off that nozzle your gonna blast the roots right off of the plants. Almost like trying to put a match out with a fire truck :D

you know its bad news when it looks like a pressure washer.
great idea you had i would either use that pump by making many mist heads coming from the top down like dreds spraying the roots
instead,of that single head.You can adjust or remove the whole thing just make holes on top of the resivor
now to stop leaks get two part opoxy clay mix and apply around that mister and continune too use it just add more misters to reduce your current pressure:jointsmile:

Yes, overkill! 500gph is way too much for that tub and one nozzle...it's a good idea to try to keep the nozzles from clogging, but you can turn the spray into a water saw root cutter with that kind of flow...does the pump load up from all the back pressure? Maybe install a bypass loop to reduce pressure or a pressure regulator? I think you have a good idea, but I would try a smaller pump and more nozzles imo, or a pressure regulator, if you have to use that pump. A lower pressure will slow down many of the leaks all by itself, so I would get that pressure problem solved first and then work on what leaks are left.

I was afraid of that. I can put the nozzle back on to make a super fine mist but then it its focussed to narrowly upwards and doesn't hit every net pot. I might make it a beam and let it hit the top of the lid or a hanging piece.
